Wedding Planning
Anyone else miss wedding planning as much as I do? I don't miss the stress, but miss looking around for stuff and what not...Am I the only one?

Re: Wedding Planning
Your answers will depend on how far long ago their weddings were. I made a similar post shortly after my wedding. Now, months later, i don't miss the planning at all. You just find a new project and other things begin to happen that you focus on more and the wedding becomes a happy memory.

Re: Wedding Planning
I don't really miss it much. I have tons of other things to take up that time now, such as writing out thank-you cards and fixing up our house... and I am certainly glad to be done w/ all the BM drama I had dealt with during the planning

Re: Wedding Planning
This might sound weird, but I think I kinda missing having a goal...or more a time deadline. All of the wedding planning had to be done by a certain date, and it kept me motivated...Now, I have a ton of things I can do, but, no set deadline...so I tend to procrastinate a bit more...but, the freedom is nice too

I still look at the wedding magazines. Their fun to look at! However I NEVER EVER want to be a bride again! That was hell on earth.

I'm sure I'll get over it once I get my proofs and I have to start working on the album!Don't get me wrong, I'm still super busy with the house and school, but I actually enjoyed a lot of the planning

Re: Wedding Planning
I missed it at first, but now that it's been over a year I don't really miss it anymore. It was a lot of work and I'm glad that I can focus on other things now.

Re: Wedding Planning
I do miss the creativity and constantly having something to do but I definitely don't miss the stress! I think I'm going to take a class at michaels to re-route this energy. You know what they say about idle hands

Re: Wedding Planning
Ummmm Lets see, For me its subsidedSometimes when i am alone, and something reminds me of my wedding or someone elses wedding is coming up i get this sudden rush of emotion, an empty feeling like my day is over forever.
Never to happen again and its a terrible feeling of sadness.
Thank god it only lasts a few seconds...havnt shed any real tears but my eyes well up for a second.
I dont miss the stress one bit, i dont miss all the appts i just missing having that day to look forward to.
I have plenty of other things to keep me busy or I have all the time in the world to just relax and not be busy.

Re: Wedding Planning
i loved my wedding.. and the planning of it to a certain extent.. it was us and my parents and we had a traditional Indian wedding so a lot went into it.. working with American vendors and my Indian ones.. it was not fun but it was all worth it.. and the way I see it, it was a beautiful start to us 'officialy' and the pictures is a reminder of how much thought and effort went into it to finally culminate into us.. no looking back.. it was beautiful..now i plan imaginary vacations

Re: Wedding Planning
Little sis got engaged 3 weeks ago, so I'm back in planning mode. I like it. I'd consider it as a career. Really though, I just like making invitations. I could scale down to being an invitation designer/dealer.

Re: Wedding Planning
I missed it for about a day after the wedding, then I felt like it was this huge weight lifted off my shoulders.I do miss having mine and DH's whole family in town and all being together, that aspect of it. But do I miss picking out centerpieces and bridesmaid dresses and such? No way.
