sorry to say but i think the person has to be upset about something ... or evn may be jealous ... I know when i have an opinion and its for someone i care about i try to tell the the truth but not hurt their feelings ...

sorry your going through this but everyone has a bad seed in the family

depending on who it is:
1. they could be upset that you are engaged & planning your wedding & there not.
2. if they are married maybe they are upset because you are having better then there wedding was.

ok ladies ive been wanting to post this for quite sometime to vent...lets just say there is a certain someone in my life who has been raining on my parade..
1. when i first told this someone about how i booked my rh..they didn't seem interested.

2. then i told them about my favors and they said how 'it's an alright gift (as if any favor is really wonderful), and how i spent too much money on it and that i should spend it on something else'

3. i say how i want to have brown bm dresses with pink flowers and they are like,,,'yea but its may' im like so what..ppl wear black during summer weddings why cant i do brown and they r like 'well it's ur wedding, i wouldnt do it but ill wear it if i have to'

4. i talk about a photo/video package and they are like 'well it sounds too good to be true just make sure u have it written in the contract'

do you think this is just harsh criticism from someone who really cares about me? has anyone experienced this with someone close??

JEALOUS!!! DEF....AND HEY MY BM'S ARE WEARING BLACK LOL N MY WEDDING IS IN JUNE

I know how you feel.. i have someone in my life that is the same way. i feel like every thing i chose she has a rude comment about. I'm trying not to let i get to me..(very difficult to do)

Definitely jealous!! My BM's are so happy that I am fianlly doing it. I have been with him the longest out of all my friends but the last one to get married. They are with me through every step of the way.

I have 2 people who always have something to say like that and I have either taken it one of two ways...they are just trying to help me but dont know how to express themself without being hurtful so I have said...do you think we could discuss this without you making me feel under attack...or I realized that this person is just abrassive like that and I am attempting to learn to live with it. But ooooooo is it really hard. Since confronting this other person would just be more effort then its worth cuz it would start a whole new bunch of drama.

I think it depends on who it is and what the relationship is. I am very close with my mother and she always offers critiques but its bc she has my best interest at heart and wants to make sure I am not getting scammed. On the other hand, there are people out there who will be jealous and always wants to put their two cents in.

def. jealously! Its your day don't let anyone tell you what to do or how to do it. I had someone like that told them they are no longer involved in my wedding. It got to me so much and you can't let it ruin your excitment! So I eliminated the problem

Two people in my family are like this. So, I sat them down and said the following....

'My wedding is very special to me. You are not going to agree with all my decisions, but I need you to be supportive. If you are going to say something negative, think about how it might affect me before you say it. This is a very emotional time and I do not want negativity involved. If you can do this, then I will gladly share all my wedding plans with you. If you cannot, then I won't talk about the wedding at all.'

After a few questions on their part, they agreed not to be negative about it. And so far they have kept their word.
