Gifts?

Did anyone give the parents gifts along with the bridal party? If so what did you give them? I'm not sure if we are supposed to give something to our parents or not at the rehursal dinner. Also what about the FG and RB?

we haven't picked out parents gifts yet. i know my mom wants a digital picture frame.. and my future FIL wanted a new DVD player.. so we thought of getting him that and a little something else ( he would never use a regular gift like a pocket watch or cufflinks.. he's not that type of guy.. )

we plan on giving the gifts to them along with the bridal party at the RD.

We also got for our FG and RB gifts that we'll give to them that night.
RB - so far we got a pewter train bank engraved with his name and ring bearer from personalization mall. a ring bearer ornament that is actually a bear in a white suit and a ring pillow.. and it is personalized ( so cute cause my RB thinks he's actually a bear.. he roars..lol) still waiting to receive that in the mail though.

for the FG we got - a princess necklace in the most adorable pink crown box from personalization mall. an ornament that matches the ones i got the BMs .. it's a pink dress with their name, title in the wedding, and our wedding date. and i also got her a flower girl book that comes with little accessories in the book..

We gave my IL's a nice platter from Tiffany's.

We havent given my parents anything yet....we ordered a 20x20 portrait of the entire family for them from the photographer, which will be their gift

For the FGs and RBs, we got nice gift bags and threw a tons of toys and candy in there. I went to the dollar aisle in Target and picked up a bunch of little toys other fun stuff. I went to Economy Candy and got a bunch of fun retro candy- wax lips, ring pops, button candy, candy necklaces, etc. I also put one of these in each bag, which is so cute

we're doing the following

after the wedding...im making albums for each parent with our pro pics.

for the wedding
my mom - i got her pretty earrrings to go with her dress. im paying for her hair and makeup. and im getting her a hankie.

my gma - dual frame thing + hankie
my dad - cufflinks + hankie
my stepdad - cufflinks
my stepmom + fmil - undecided

rb + fg = wedding bears from build a bear + tote bag with different activities/little toys (i just got stuff from michaels/acmoore). and im giving them ring pops in there hehehe.

We did not give our parents gifts, only the bridal party. I think I am going to have our parents each pick out one of our wedding photos and have it framed as a token gift.

i'm not sure yet what we're doing for Parents Gifts. I have feeling that whatever it is, it definitely won't be until after the wedding. Probably a good picture from the wedding of the whole family in a fancy frame. I know my mom would appreciate that a lot more than anything else (she's the sentimental type).

we ended up not getting our parents gifts. We wanted to but we were so strapped for cash towards the end that we just let it go. They are getting their own albums tho...
