With all of the wedding planning happening and building new lives together, who handles the majority of the finances??

Fh def does. I havent been getting my full 40 hours at work and he makes double what I make. Im hoping to change that soon bc im having a major problem saving for the wedding he's doing all the saving. I just applied for a 2nd job I hope I get it I need the $$$$ sooo bad

I do the finances....I am an accountant/financial analyst but FH puts me on a budget, so I think its a joint effort.

we dont live together so we don't have a joint account... but we do have a joint savings account that we call the 'wedding fund' that we contribute to... so i dont know if i can really answer this question!

We don't have a joint account for the 'Wedding Fund' - its in my name - Every week he gives me a certain amount, but he never has any idea what its for

We have a joint checking account that we use to pay for everything for the wedding. We each try to put as much money as we can when we get paid he always put in more but one day ill be able to put the same

FH, we have a joint saving account for the wedding.

We have a joint 'wedding account' that i am in charge of and FH has already said that when we move in/get married he is handing over his check book to me to handle his bills

My parents are handling most of the finances for the wedding. But in our everyday lives, I pay the mortgage and fh pays all the bills. Everything else that goes into the house, we split. Right now, i'm handling more of the finances because he's having a rough time with his job. But it's pretty equal.

We don't live together but when we do I will be. He has no clue on how to pay bills lol!!

I am definately putting more towards our wedding though but I am completely fine with that. I also have way more saved than he does.

I know what's going in and out and coordinate payments, but he helps in his own little way.

I do all the finances. It was always that way. FH hates dealing with bills..

it works out better this way. He never finds out how much I spend....

I handle it all. FH is so not responsible when it comes to that stuff...so I manage it all..just tell him when I need money

we have a joint account for wedding stuff. we are both putting money into it, although he puts in more because he makes more. as for handling the finances, i would say it's mostly me

Me FH has a major problem with money...he spends too much of it and cant keep track. so I balance the check book and keep track of when payments for the wedding are due. And that is how it will probably be for the rest of our lives...

He makes more money than I do, by far (at least now) plus I have student loans. He's been really good about it though.
