Going to see another band showcase tonight (UPDATE)
We are going to see Code Bleu play at Milleridge Carriage House. I hope it's a good time and we like them. These drives to Nassau county are too much for me and I wanna find my band already!  Wish me luck. I've heard really good things about them and I hope we like them!
So we went to see them and loved them! They each had a song that they weren't great at singing but together, they were awesome and I loved each one of their voices. They are charging 6800 dollars for 2010 and 450 dollars to add their second incredible female vocalist and another 400 for the trumpet. It's a lot of money so we don't know what to do just yet!
Nicole, does Hank Lane Bands do showcases? Which bands have you heard from them? You know their price ranges? FM me if you have any more info! Thanks!

have fun tonight, let me know if you like them because if not i suggest yu go look into hank lane because they have a lot of bands at all different prices ranges!

wow thats really expensive...especially if they dont sound great individually cuz you know they will have individual songs at the wedding

I think you were sitting right at the table next to me! I was there with my dad, sister and FH's son. I liked the band alot too...but was wondering if the lead was losing her voice. Anyway, you got a littile better price than me! They told me 7,000 for the 8 pieces.

That's so funny! I think I remember seeing you now that you said that. I agree, she had a very low voice and range and she didn't sound right in some songs. I can't believe they quoted you 7,000! What do you think of that?! And they weren't budging

I was right to your left. I probably looked a bit different b/c my hair is straight in all my pics...and it was a curly mess today. Anyway, I didnt even try to negotiate the price until I know who I want to go with. FH loves Heart & Soul and not sure if he will budge. I am going to see them tomorrow at Jericho Terrace. I want my parents to hear them now. I like to have lots of opinions.
I just cant believe they gave different people different quotes. And it's not like I am getting married in a more popular month...it's NOV!! Anyway, I cant wait to see heart & Soul again tomorrow. Have you seen them?

I've heard good things about Heart and Soul and I want to see them play (i'll probably go at the end of Oct at Fox Hollow - I checked the website). The only thing i'm concerned about with them is i've heard they have changed musicians a bunch of times and I don't know if I wanna take that risk. Do you know how much they go for?
You are getting married in Nov and they are quoting you that price! Ridiculous! I'm May and it's 200 dollars less...no reason for that.

You can definitely negotiate. I got my band down by paying cash. Plus, don't let them tell you this is the price for 2010...if you are booking in 2008, you should get that price!

I agree. but that is actually a good price for a band. Cash always helps though

Heart & Soul is around $6700 for the 8 piece band -- that includes the cocktail hour.
