Vendor Rant: Photo Booth

I guess every bride comes across a deadbeat vendor during her planning, well this was my first (and hopefully last)...

I know this has been seen on here a few times and Im sure this will disappear, but do not hire R O L L A N D E L L I O T T from www.rent p h o t o booths.com.

He is completely unprofessional and acts like a child. I do not want to go into specifics because my blood will start to boil again, but in a nutshell I asked a few questions about the negative things I was reading about him online, and he became defensive and nasty and could not give me an answer. He picks and chooses which emails he wants to respond to. HE DIDNT EVEN RESPOND TO THE EMAIL THAT I WANTED TO CANCEL MY BOOTH!! Not until I confronted him why he did not answer me, did he respond to the email. He will not return my deposit and said per the contract he cannot do that. (I never signed a contract). He says I did and when I asked him for a signed copy, he said he sent it to me (he did not). When I asked for him to re-send it, he assured me that one exists. Whatever you do, DO NOT HIRE HIM!! Im glad im dealing with this now rather than on my wedding day.

It is not a good thing to come across a vendor like this !!!!!!! Thank God you got out before it ruined your date !!!!!!!! I would fight for my money back ! He is a rip off !!!!!!!!!!

I am still fighting for my money. Im not too clear on contract law, but I think I have a good shot to get my money back since I did not sign a contract.

Eww what ajerk. get your depo back because unless he can supply a copy of a contract signed by u & fh then he has no case & then definitely threaten to a lawyer invloved if he still insists on keep your depo. Good Luck what a complete loser!

I work for an attorney and I made that clear in my email, that evidently doesnt matter to him. Wait until he gets a letter in the mail

Awwe, I am so sorry this is happening.

Perhaps another idea....An instant camera? People can take photos with a polaroid (or similar machine) and make a scrap book for you. You can do this for about $500 (plus the cost of film and camera) by hiring someone. They used to do this at clubs and events I went to. You can have the person take 2 of the same. 1 for a scrap book, and one to give to the guests in an envelope.

Or you can have an instant camera next to the sign-in book. Someone can take guest's photos as they walk in and they can sign the guest book.

just a few ideas I was considering when i realized how expensive the booths were...

What a jerk... I heard of alot of vendors here that treated their customers like that. I pray that I don't come acroos one. Thanks for the info and good luck!!
