Re: crockpot

Pot roast is always my favorite. Just brown the meat and throw your potatoes and veggies in and in 6-8 hrs you have a great dinner!!!

Re: crockpot

Just made veggie beef soup this week. MIL's recipe but DH loves it and it makes lots of leftovers

3 potatoes peeled and chopped
2 stalks celery chopped
6 carrots peeled and chopped
1/2 onion diced
1 can diced tomatoes with juice
1 can green beans drained
some frozen peas and lima beans
you can add frozen corn if you want
3 beef marrow bones
1 pound stew beef (in 1" cubes)
add a little water, and then fill with tomato juice
season with pepper and mrs dash

cook ~ 5 hours on high or until potatoes are soft

comes out amazing, and made 5 meals worth (dinner for us both, lunch for dh, dinner for us both again)

Sure!

Chicken Cordon Bleu Rolls

6 thin sliced Chicken Breasts, pound them out to tenderized them
6 slices of Prosciutto
6 Slices of Swiss (but we use provolone cuz we like it better!)
1 small can of Mushroom Soup
1/4 cup of milk
1/4 cup of white wine

Place a slice of prosciutto and provolone on each chicken breast and roll up, secure with a toothpick. You can season each with salt & ppepper. Place in the crockpot.
In a bowl, wisk together the soup, milk and wine. Pour over the chicken. Cook on High for about 3 hours. I make it with brown rice on the side and pour some of the cooked mixture over it. Soo Yummy!

Re: crockpot

For the BBQ Chicken..

We used chicken thighs and legs. Place them in the crockpot. Then we just poured in a lot (enough to cover all the chicken) of our favorite BBQ sauce, some Worcestershire sauce, some hot sauce that we love and salt/pepper/whatever spices you like. Let it cook on high for about 3-4 hours. When the chicken is falling off the bone..it's done. We kind of made that one up..after seeing similar recipes..so let me know if you have any questions.

Re: crockpot

Here's a great and easy recipe:

Easy Pot Roast and Veggies

3-4 lb. chuck roast
4 medium potatoes, cubed
4 carrots, sliced or 1 lb baby carrots
2 ribs celery, sliced thin
1 envelope dry onion soup mix
3 c water

Put roast and veggies in crockpot.
Add onion soup mix and water.
Cover. Cook on low 6-8 hours.

I like to serve this with yolk-free egg noodles
