When you're trying to conceive...

Is it just me, or does every month seem to drag? Just having to wait a couple of weeks to see if you're pregnant, and then if not, having to wait to try again, is killing me. And this is the first time that we are paying attention to this. If I don't get pregnant right away, every month is going to be VERY LONG! Anyone else feel like this? It's so much easier when you're not trying, and then finding out you're pregnant. Every day and week is a long one! Aaaaaaaaaaah! I'm hoping Baby Dust works quickly... I'm too excited to wait!

I can understand completely! I was very lucky - DH and I were playfully TTC - just to see what would happen. We had no idea if we'd be fertile or not, so we just stopped using BC during our honeymoon and took our chances. But, I did not get caught up in the process, b/c I believe that what was meant to be, will be.

I'm right with ya, sista! This is our 4th month trying and it gets harder and harder not to get so obsessive about it and think about it constantly and the waiting is crazy. I'm in the waiting mode right now. Until next week when my friend is supposed to show. It really starts to make you crazy.

My only saving grace is just having faith that it will happen when it's right. For some it's easy, for others it's just not.

Thanks girls... I'm in the waiting period right now also, until next week too. I'm really hoping it doesn't come, but we don't have as high as a possiblity as we will next month since we weren't planning on trying last week. It just happened. Next month we're really trying. (I already warned him, HEHEHE!) I don't feel any different yet, but then again it hasn't been a week since we would of conceived. I've only been having slight lower abdominal cramps for a couple of seconds here and there. I'm sure it's nothing though.

I want to say something very noble about patience here but we were very fortunate and I got PG the first month we tried so I won't even try but I will sent you lots of baby dust wishes! I hope all goes well and you have news for us soon. I didnt think I ws PG that first month and I remember that feeling of 'it's never going to happen', the logical fact that it was only the first month didn't help me feel less anxious so again I can't say much but here's more baby dust (*sprinkle*)

Melissa:

Don't get caught up in the symtoms. You don't actually 'conceive' until about 8-12 days past ovulation. Conception is not when the egg is fertilized but when the fertilized egg implants in the utereus which is in that 8-12 day past ovulation period so you really probably will not notice any symptoms (if any) until you miss your period.

But -- just don't worry about symptoms or not -- that'll drive you crazy too -- many don't have any symptoms at all until a few weeks into pregnancy.
