So this might seem kind of weird lol
But, I have heavy upper arms. I've been working them out for about a year now and they just have no definition to them whatsoever. They also have not lost any of the "flab" per se. Maybe this is all in my head, but, I digress. I'm getting married in a little over two months and I'm wondering what my best options for camoflauging these arms would be. Short of having to wear a jacket all night. Would a self tanner make them look slimmer, any kind of crazy toning creams out there? Or am I at a loss?

My FH tells me it's all in my head. I just have visions in my head of my big fat arms in my wedding photos and it scares me.

Re: So this might seem kind of weird lol
what about getting a wrap, shawl, or maybe a cape since your wedding is in the winter, it'll help keep you warm, look pretty, and cover you up. I'm sure your arms aren't as bad as you think. We're women, we're all insecure about something and most often our minds blow it way out of proportion. I don't know if I'd try the self tanner, it might make you feel more insecure if it streaks. If you do decide to try it, I'd try it at least a month before to make sure it drys correctly etc.

Re: So this might seem kind of weird lol
i suffer a similar fate. fat-arm-pictures. when u take pics just lift ur arm a smidge away from ur torso. that way it doesnt squish and look wider than it really is. and for the super slim effect.....put ur hand on ur hip. :) and use the flowers to your advantage lol.
im sure u look lovely regardless. just sharing some tips.

I'm really pale and found that one small layer of self tanner (not enough to look tan persay, but to look healthy) is also slimming. especially when you're a little flabby

I am sure it is all in your head as well but you can always ask someone at the gym for advice or a fitness guru.
Also try endermology and or skin toning lotions.
That is my approach to the arm flab situation I am having!

I agree with PP's about its all about posing! Also position your veil so that it covers some of your arms and you will feel more comfortable. I hate I mean hate my arms and when I look at pictures that is all I see so I can understand where you are coming from.

Re: So this might seem kind of weird lol
being tan always makes you look slimmer- if you're nervous about using a self tanner on your own- go get spray tanned- and i suggest actually having a person airbrush it on, not the booth that the machine does it. go tty it out now and see how you like it- its amazing!!! i highly recommend it.

I have the same problem. I even added 3/4 sleeves to the dress to hide it a bit. It works but I still notice it, so everyone is saying its in my head. We will hope for the best! Good luck.

OOOHHH great tips, thanks! I too suffer from this awful fate, and even better, I told myself I didn't want to be an overweight bride and here i am 6 days from my wedding an overweight bride. Oh well. The way I see it, you are who you are, and if I dropped 50pounds for the wedding, it wouldnt be me, and I would probably have gained it back anyway. Everyone is beautiful on their wedding day (at least I hope I am lol) and that is all there is to it. I have psoriasis on my arms and I am still wearing a strapless dress with no jacket. This is who I am and if people don't like what they see, they can turn their heads the other way! You are beautiful the way you are, but if you are going to feel more like you by covering up so be it, Otherwise just be you!!! (my speech is now over - sorry it was so long!)
