Re: Aruba Question

I'm not sure exactly how much you'd need, but I've heard that dining out in Aruba is very expensive. FH and I are going to Aruba on our HM but we are staying in an AI resort. We figure that drinks alone will make it worth it for us (even though we do plan on going out to eat and drink quite a few times while we're there).

Re: Aruba Question

I agree. AI is the way to go. We booked the occidental although we just heard recently that the riu is better.

Re: Aruba Question

Depending on what activities you like to do, you may need anywhere from about $300+/day. I went to Aruba 2 years ago and we were in a villa(friend has a timeshare) so we spent a lot of money everyday that we went out. If you eat at one of the huts on the beach, it's not that expensive but when you start going into the actual restaurants it is VERY EXPENSIVE. Then you have all ofthe water sports (jet skiing, sped boat tour etc.) My biggest advice for you if it's not too late, would definitely be to go all-inclusive. There are some beautiful hotels that are all-inclusive and since the most expensive thing you'll pay for will be the food, that would be your best bet. After going there and spending so much $$$ I said i would only do all-inclusive from now on.
