Re: Hey girls, sorry to crash, anyone been to Aruba?
Hi! DH and I have been to Aruba twice now, and neither time have we done AI. We stayed in a time share, so we did have a kitchen, but we never used it LOL!Honestly the dinners are definitely expensive. I would expect to pay at least $100 for each dinner, and that's if you're NOT big drinkers (DH and I are not drinkers really - we maybe had 1 drink each). If you eat breakfast, you prob won't need lunch. We got by most days on just the 2 meals.
As far as activities go, it depends on what you want to do. Most tours and things are $50-100pp but like I said, it depends on what they are.
I hope I helped a little! FM me for anymore questions!!! Aruba is gorgeous! You will love it there!

Re: Hey girls, sorry to crash, anyone been to Aruba?
We just came back from Aruba on Weds. We didn't do AI and spent about $140 a day on meals (give or take). We stayed at the Renaissance and they had a market mall which had Dunkin Donuts, Sbarro, Taco Bell and Subway so we had a few meals there to save money. We only had a drink or two a night so we didn't spend a lot on drinks.Have fun! We had a wonderful time!

We went to Aruba and completely regret not doing AI. Everything is so freaking expensive. ($8 for a Heinekin!) The food is seriously overpriced. Day 1 we got 2 sandwiches and 2 Pina Coladas = $54!I strongly recommend AI!
If u have ?'s about any of the high rise hotels, FM me. We walked through all of them!

Re: Hey girls, sorry to crash, anyone been to Aruba?
We stayed at the Hyatt for 11 days in September. I think it is better not to do all inclusive because there are so many really good places for dinner. We usually would just eat breakfast and dinner and maybe a small snack midday but I usually was not hungry for lunch. You can def find cheaper places to eat and there are losts of fast food places. I would say for all of the good restuaraunts though we spent an average of $150. Went to about 5 dinners like this. We went to Flying Fishbone, Madamme Jeanette, El Gaucho, The Lighthouse, and had a private dinner on the beach. The other nights we ate at the hotel places, tried Senor Frogs and some of the cheaper places. Drinks can get expensive so that depends on how much you drink. We are not huge drinkers but had a drink or two with dinner every night and sometimes frozen ones at the pool. For activities we spent about $700 at Depalm tours but we did snorkeling, horsebackriding, ATV tour, couples massage at the private island and the Ku KU tour. I highly recommend that if you like to drink, it was so much fun! I'd say for the 11 nights food, drinks , activities etc we spent about 3k but we splurged all the time because it was our honeymoon. I'm sure it could be done for less but all of the resturaunts are really good and I would have been sad if we had missed out on them for all inclusive

We made reservations with our concierge the second day but we made reservations for El Gaucho the same day we wanted to go and it was fine. The Lighthouse and Flying Fishbone are best at sunset so it is best to make reservations there for sure. Another really fun place to check out is the Sopranos piano bar! It was really fun! I LOVED it in Aruba! I could have stayed forever. Feel free to ask me any questions
