Seating?

Do any of you ladies, married or not yet, have any tips on how to make the seating arrangements easier? That is the one thing that I am dreading doing right now.

Re: Seating?

I'm planning on writing everyone's names down on slips of paper and moving them around a large mock seating chart. This way I can visualize it.

Plus, when I create the original invite list I grouped people to get an idea.

And I'm not going to go completely crazy, most people should be dancing anyway!

the slips of paper thing is a great idea, that's what my mom does. also group together the people that cant be separated (if you are doing papers, you can tape those together) and it will help you figure out who can go with who.

what we did was.... one table of young cousins (my side and DHs side intermingled, teens/early 20s). then our friends were 3 tables -- we did one of the groomsmen and their friends. then split my friends in 2 tables, bridal party and their friends and then the others.

we let DH's parents allocate the tables of their friends/family, my parents do the ones of their friends and relatives, and we just went with their recommendations.

Re: Seating?

Use the seating arrangement tool on LIW! It ids sooooooo easy. You need to enter all your guests' names in the 'Wedding Guests' section first, but once you do, you just place them at whatever table you want and it's easier to move them to another, etc. It made it very easy for me!
