Signing contract with catering hall- Need Your Help!!

I want to go and book with the swan club some time soon (hopefully). I just need help on what the contract should contain and what things I may need to add to the contract?

If anyone has signed a contract with the swan club before, I would like to hear your experience with contract signing.

I really need you help because I am clueless.

Re: Signing contract with catering hall- Need Your Help!!

I am not getting married at the Swan Club, but I recently booked, and one of the main things that I made sure was that the price was the same as the quoted one. I've heard of people having a quick one pulled on them and signing a contract for more money than was quoted.
I would look for these things:
The minimum # of guests you must have.
The correct price per person.
What time you have the hall from and to.
Is the cake included?
Linens included?
All of your options for coctail hour should be on there, example 2 carving stations, 6 passed hordeuvres, etc.
Alcohol included?
Tax and gratuities, are they included in the price?
Valet parking, included or not?
When is the first deposit due?
The second?
When is the final head count needed?
When is the full payment due?
Cash, check or charge?
Is live music allowed, or DJ?
Are house vendor meals included?
What's the rate for children?
That is basically what we covered on our contract, there are definitely more things, but if you think that there's ANYTHING else you want on there, make them put it on.
We signed right away because we're getting married in 05, and they only had 04 prices, so we got a deal
Good Luck!

Re: Signing contract with catering hall- Need Your Help!!

I have a Caterer Questionaire that I made up and took it with me when we went to go look at catering halls. If you want it, FM me your email address and I'll email it to you
