The guest list ...

is just getting out of hand. We have a limit and FH just keeps adding to it! It is so frustrating and I am getting so aggravated FH keeps saying that we can contribute to paying for some of the wedding (my parents are paying for it) but my parents don't want that.

So FH's aunt emails him saying that his cousin has a g/f now and can she come I can't catch an effin break! Our guest list was 120 and now it's up to 156. i only wanted 100 people at the wedding and granted some people will not come.

I understand completely.... i have 11 months to the wedding and the guest list already went from 150 to 200... and maybe still growing. Its annoying but i have a huge family and my parents and my FH's parents keep adding on friends.

FH and I are slackers.. SO I just started my list over the weekend... I want 100 and just that because we're paying ourselves (Mostly me, eh hmm LMAO) and for some reason we're at 150!!!!!

dont worry .. usually about 20-30% cancel so you will invite 156 but probably only get like 125

We are only having 100-110... we chose the SMALLEST room because of it (and because secretly i wanted the waterfall in the background)
We also lied and told his mom 90 is the limit...so lets keep our fingers crossed it works

Ugh. I know what you mean. FH's family keeps adding people to our list! We originally were figuring about 120 and now we're up to 186! UGHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! People just don't get it.

Fingers crossed for you! Unfortunately for us we are the only wedding and the room can hold up to i think it's 300 people

I just think that since FH's cousin got married a few years ago she would understand about the guest list and the expense of having a wedding

I completely understand, vent all you want, we had to cut 50 people, and now we're back to adding and we really don't want to, it's such a majoy pain!!!!

A little off the subject, but I'm curious- I thought Giorgios had a 150 ppl minimum? Were you just going to pay the difference?

FH and i had the same problem too, we wanted UNDER 150 and our invite list is about 190. But, there are some people we arent inviting with guests. You need to stick to your guns and if you already have a set number and you don't want to go over, don't let people bring guests if they didn't have one before. if you let one person do that everyone will want to. hope it works out..

It's unfortunate because i wish I could invite the world BUT FH doesn't get that there is a limit! He's insisting that it's OK that his cousin gets a guest and it's OK to add this person and that person

Ooo yes! I really wanted only like 175 at the most...but, now our list is about 260ish...

i think you and FH should make sure you are on the same page about this. it is going to be SO stressful!
