tanning with my ring on

is that bad? I'm beginning to tan now for the wedding in a few weeks and last time i went I forgot to take off my E-ring. Just wondering for girls who tan - does is ruin the diamond if i do that frequently??? I could care less about the awkward tanline on my finger. I just don't want the ring to get ruined at all. But if it doesn't make a difference, I'd much rather leave it on!! Taking it off each time makes me nervous for fear of forgetting it or it falling out of my purse. And I just HATE leaving it at home. Makes me feel naked. lol.

But does the diamond even get damaged from those tanning beds???

I was also nervous & chose to take it off.....didnt want to take a chance.

no way..uv rays won't affect a diamond..otherwise I don't think any of us could wear it outside! don't worry

nope, it won't affect the diamond in any way. i like leaving mine on so i get a tanline and see how tan i've gotten.

lol. exactly. I need there to be a tanline SOMEWHERE!

I'm glad it won't affect the diamond. I wasn't sure. Thanks everybody for your help!!!!! I'll probably leave it on from now on.

I agree it won't effect it at all!!!!! But if you feel better to take it off that's okay. I always feel so naked when I don't wear my rings! I only take them off to take a shower and wash my hands....DH does it too!

I think they sell jewelry cleaning machines that have UV in them... so I think you may actually be cleaning it in the process
