Saving Money

Do you think having a thursday night wedding would save a substantial amount of money with all vendors? Thanks

Re: Saving Money

As far as the RH goes, yes- definatly. For the other vendors, I'm not so sure. The vendors (photographer, videographer, etc) will all be doing the SAME amount of work no matter what day of the week it is, so they expect to get the same pay they normally do.

On the other hand- there's a good chance, I wouldn't otherwise have a job on a thursday night, so they might be willing to charge lower (since making some money is better than none, right?)

Your best bet might be to call up a few and ask!

Re: Saving Money

as was said, call up and ask. Some places may give a break in price because its NOT a day they normally would work (though Thursday is becoming more popular for this reason).

I agree with Colleen, the RH will work a deal, but the other vendors not sure but they might being that they don't usually work those nights

You should ask Vanessa or Alyssa, they are both getting married on thursdays they would know better

ITA...RH would be much cheaper on a thursday night for sure...But it cant hurt to call a few vendors and ask them if there would be a difference in their prices. Cant hurt to ask!

Re: Saving Money

I think the vendors would be more willing to negotiate and cut into their profit margin on a non-peak day. It's kind of like the RHs drop their prices in Jan/Feb. They dont expect to make the same profit in off-peak months. If I were a vendor I would be thrilled with the 'extra' day of work and would likely budge more on price.
