OMG

DH and his friend went to the post office and were driving on a one way street and a car came at them from the wrong way and started honking at them. They were able to get over and got out to go in the post office. A few minutes later the guy from the car came into the post office and started screaming at DH's friend that he was going to shoot him and then punched him and ran out. They are filing a police report but the police told them they can't really go after the guy because he didn't injur anyone. What the eff???? Scary!!!

I don't know. Im not sure if they thought to. Im not sure if DH was waiting in their car or in with his friend, but he saw the guy go running and didn't go after him cus he said he was going to shoot. So he didn't want to risk getting shot if the guy had a gun.

they filed a report and if they happen to find the guy- like he gets brought in for something else, then they contact them and they can press charges. But they said they are not going to go out looking for him because it wasn't serious enough. Like tehy won't go out of their way to find him...

OMG are you kidding me?! They can't get him for assault?! So I can run up to anyone on the street and punch them and they won't go after me!! I've never heard of such a thing!

GinaZ.... listen to this, almost the same thing happened to me and DH in september.

We were driving down a two-way street (on the right side) and there is a guy with a huge lke 4X4 truck that apparently thought we were driving too slow for his taste and kept flashing his highbeams and honking at us. We would have seriously gotten out of the way and let the as* go around us but we couldnt, there is no room! he actually tried to get around us by going onto oncoming traffic!!

Finally we arrive at a red light and he goes to the side of us (he is now in the incoming lane!!) he rolls down his window and starts cursing us really bad ( things I cant even begin to say!!). We just stayed looking straight ahead like we were deaf and couldnt hear anything. I guess this pissed him off even more and HE GOT OUT OF HIS CAR!! he was like this short muscle guy and (since it was septmember we had our window open) he PUNCHED MY DH IN THE FACE!! he runs back to his car and speeds off once the light turns green. Needless to say I am hysterically screaming and got a pen and wrote his plate # on a peice of paper. I called the police and they were there in 30 seconds literally. My DH and I actually wanted to follow the guy in the truck but my DH was still disoriented!

We told them what happened and I was so happy that I got the plate #, I thought that for sure the police would track down who this psycho was... you know what they tell me and DH????? ' well ma'am the plates are NJ plates and we can do nothing about it... if you want to persue it you have to go to jersey station in person. The police officer also said that we were overreacting because DH wasnt 'seriously injured'. WTFFF? do we have to get shot in order for them to do something? He also critcized us and told us that we should have drove after him OR DH should have stalled him till the cops came!!!

This is the WORST experience ive ever had w/police. I know all police arent like this... but this one was the laziest mother f**er I have ever met!!

people are just plain CRAZY!! Dh always tells me to ignore people on the road, don't yell at them or anything, just let it go, cause you never know what they have in their car.

A few years ago I was stopped at a light and some jerk behind me honked like it was his freakin job the second the light turned green. Well, I got annoyed gave him the finger and didnt move for a few more seconds. So finally I decide its time to go now, and the guy tailgates me, almost hitting me, so I try to get away cause i could tell he was up to no good. Well I turn and the guy comes around me and THROWS A BEER BOTTLE at my car!!! I was soo scared! I dont remember if I got his plate number, but i did call the police to tell them. The guy was probably drunk. It was horrible!

So girls, ignore those road rage drivers.. its not worth it

That's crazy! He can file for battery. Did you guys get the license plate #? That's the 1st thing I memorize when I am involved in road rage. I had this ladies come out of her car and punch my car. I had two choice get out get into a fight go to jail and have my record ruined b/c it will appear when I go to take the BAR or 2 memorize her license plate, called the cops. They found her and arrested her. The cops told me I could ask her to give me a certain amount of $ to fix the damages instead of sending her @ss to jail, so I asked for $250..so she got her punishment no matter what...$250 less in her pocket, the embarresment of being arrested and put into a cop car infront of her neighbors and being scared of being thrown in jail (or so I think). Always make sure you catch the license plate of anyone you cross words with bc you never hope. I wish your friend GL, and I hope they can catch the *******!

I sure hope you guys went into NJ, I would have! We can't let assholes like these get away....I guess I may be alittle carried away cause I want to be a prosecutor and get those dirt bags off the streets.

ya thats what I was saying to DH! Then he said that the police said if they caught him and he wanted to press charges, he would ahev to go to the hospital. I guess his friend didn't want to go. Cus they are not going to go out fo their wayt to search for him, so he figured that would be a waste of time. yes it hurt and he may get swollen, but he wasn't hurt enough to waste his time at the hospital supposedly.

well I wanted to but Dh refused he said we would be wasting our time!! :( but i seriously think that people like that will eventually get their as* in jail anyway.... one day.
