Ideas for b-day

My birthday is next Friday and FH is taking me out that night to Ninja in the city...so excited!!!! So Saturday my friends want to do something. Usually I go to dinner in the city with my friends and then we go out to a bar. I know times are tough right now and they are already spending so much on my wedding so I figured I would do something in long island and make it low cost. Can any of you recommend any restaurants in Nassau or Western Suffolk that aren't too expensive but still have great food?

Re: Ideas for b-day

I've heard Four is good and the Melting Pot is always a good one...but I'm not sure if that's Nassau

Ninja...is that the place that they are dressed in Ninja costumes and it's very Medieval looking?

well you go downstairs and its made to look like a ninja castle, even has a bridge you go over. Each table is a private room, theres no tables all out in the open, theres doorways from the side that lead you into your own private area to eat. Theres alot of other things too but i dont want to give it away lol

it definitely is a unique dining experience. But also very pricey, and when we went to Ninja I said I was gonna pay for dinner since dh had paid the few times before, and boy am i glad i just happened to cash my check and had alot of cash on me lol(i dont use cc's) but we also went with a big group and they drank alot so that added alot to the bill. But their dinner choices are $60-90 per person and of course you get more with the $90 choice they have, so once you add even a few drinks it really can go up

yeah its worth it. I knew the prices of the menu so I knew it would be at the very least $200 and thats without drinks and DH drinks. We had such a great time so I didn't mind paying it. Dh's philosophy is that you cant put a price on a good time lol
