Smithtown Landing? Bellport Country Club?

Any input on these places? I'm thinking of booking one or the other.

Re: Smithtown Landing? Bellport Country Club?

I don't know toomuch about Bellport Country Club, they were booked for my date, but I saw many beautiful pictures & advertised good prices. I seriously considered Smithtown Landing. Ginny who I met with there was absolutely wonderful. I also know they are being renovated in the Spring(maybe already not too sure), so everything would be brand new. They are extremely affordable & seemed more than willing to negotiate. The only thing I really didn't like was the fact that your reception & cocktail hours were held it different buildings(we are also having our ceremony at our reception hall & I didn't really like the options on where to have that either). Personally I got a little paranoid that if it was bad weather my guests would have to walk outside to get from one part of the wedding to another. Then I saw Timber Point Country Club & I fell in love with it. It is also run by Lessing caterers so it was very comparable in price, but it was really just what I was looking for(beautiful waterview, gorgegous area for ceremony, as well as several other things). I don't know if you checlked it our, but its in Great River & you might want to look into it as well. If not, I can tell you Smithtown Landing was my second choice. Good luck & happy planning!

Smithtown Landing( and Timber Point CC) are run by Lessings. They are catering my wedding
(Bourne Mansion) and they are extremely nice and helpful. Bellport is run by Lovin Oven, who I have only heard great things about. So either way, you cannot lose!

Re: Smithtown Landing? Bellport Country Club?

I got married at Smithtown Landing and it is a beautiful place, the food is great, and it is affordable compared to other places. Having the cocktail hour in a separate building is fine since there is a big overhang that takes you from place to place, believe me I know since it rained on my wedding day. If you have any more questions, want to see pics, etc., just let me know!
