Did anyone else have the unfortunate experience of attending Mets Opening day??

10 BUCKS FOR PARKING TO PARK 2 MILES FROM THE STADIUM, SAT IN TRAFFIC TO THAT PARKING LOT FOR ALMOST 2 HOURS, MISSED THE FIRST 2 INNINGS ONLY TO FREEZE TO DEATH AND WATCH THEM LOSE 15-2, SO THAT WE COULD SIT IN MORE TRAFFIC TO GO HOME!

By the 8th inning my mom needed a drink and she said the Diamond Club was closed!!!! (I wasn't there but my mom was.)

Hope Wednesday starts a turnaround. I'm going on Sunday!!!!

Ok Jen, I deserved that because I have done it on Yankee threads, but from what I understand you guys are in big trouble this year.

Neicey, I needed a gallon of vodka to get me through yesterday.

But did you see how HOT Mikey is this year? He looks better than he's looked in three years.

Re: Did anyone else have the unfortunate experience of attending Mets Opening day??

Ok...this is what I think. I went to the game on Saturday-granted, it was an exhibition game but still...a good look into what we've got this year. Overall-even though they lost, I was pleased with what I saw!
Yesterday--there's no excuse for that but it's just one game....let's all give it some time before we start bashing!
Always remember fellow Mets fans...you gotta believe!!

Oh, I believe....believe me! But I felt like I was watching a game from last year yesterday. We were so p i s s e d!

And the stadium looks good, and the parking lot was repaved, but man if someone didn't mess up in logistics...what a complete nightmare getting there! It was worse than any playoff game!

I totally agree--the stadium looks great! All the new paint has really brightened it up!!
I sat through all of last season...I didn't go yesterday but it was cringing at my desk!

Re: Did anyone else have the unfortunate experience of attending Mets Opening day??

LOL - I was so afraid people were going to think I was a freak yesterday. I was muttering under my breath at the radio and at one point I slammed it off. I was getting so PO'ed at them.

I love my Mets no matter how frustrating they can be!!!!

On the bright side - some of the Cubs are on my fantasy baseball teams and gave me 6 rbi's in two players!!!! I guess if they have to lose my fantasy players better kick butt!
