Re: Does anyone have T-Fal pots and pans?

See here's the thing...

My shower was Sunday and no one got me the pots I registered for (Anolon)...so now Grandma money will probably pay for a set of pots, but I started looking at others and T-Fal is pretty inexpensive and my FMIL swears by them.

I really wanted the hard anodized, but now everyone is telling me that T-Fal are insanely good because they are porcelain and they never chip or scratch...and they are sooooo cheap!

I'm confused as to what to get!

Re: Does anyone have T-Fal pots and pans?

I wouldn't say they don't scratch - I managed to do so but admit I used the wrong (metal) utensils instead of plastic. It was totally my fault. I got the right utensils for the 2nd set & have had no problems at all.

Re: Does anyone have T-Fal pots and pans?

I have T-Fal pots for like 4 years and I absolutely love them. They are not the most expensive pots but they have been great.

Re: Does anyone have T-Fal pots and pans?

I do love Tfal, but after 5 or 6 years, they do start to 'peel' a bit. That is my experience at least. I use them once in a while, but mostly use my Belgique stainless now.

Re: Does anyone have T-Fal pots and pans?

Ok - I have a set of 'expensive' pots my sister purchased and a set of T-Fal. I use T-Fal far more than the expensive ones. I just like the way they cook (more evenly).

They do scratch if you use the wrong utensils and they can get a bit crappy in the long run, but all in all I gotta say the price and quality outweigh anything else.

I recommend them

Re: Does anyone have T-Fal pots and pans?

I am bumping this b/c I am registering for pots and pans this weekend but don’t know what T-Fal is. Are these the ones that have the black thing on the bottom? Geez I don’t know what that is called! Can you tell I don’t cook? I don’t want stainless steel. I want the ones with the black on the bottom. Or does T-Fal make both kinds?
Help me...

Re: Does anyone have T-Fal pots and pans?

OH I get it now.
Do all the brands make teflon cookware? Then I have to figure out which ones are better than others...
