Nassau, Suffolk? Lunch, bruch, dinner? How many? If you want a really nice elegant tea shower for 10 people or so Robinson's Tea Room in StonyBrook is perfect.

If the city is an option for you I definitely recommend Lady Mendl's' Tea Room at the Inn at Irving Place. It is in Gramercy Park and I went to a shower there in February and it was really cute. I have no idea what the costs are but it was definitely a neat place. Here is the web site:

The Country House in Stony Brook is fantastic!

My bridal shower is going to be there (I know, nice secret! My mother told me the day she booked it, and showed me the menu...you get so much food! You start out with your choice of French, Peach or Rasberry Champagne, then your choice of select wines, then appetizers, then you get soup or salad, main course....

but this is my favorite: for dessert you get a slice of the shower cake, a scoop of haggen das (sp?) ice cream, a slice of cheesecake, and one (or two, I can't remember) chocolate covered strawberries). Each person gets all of that on their plate!!! It's $45 a person, not including tax a gratuity. And the place is gorgeous, the decor is so pretty! And each season they decorate accordingly.

They're worth checking out!

I LOVE the Country House, and I second it as a choice!!!

In fact, if my mom doesn't have my shower there (and I suspect she may ), it's one of my ideal places for the baby's christening.

I had my baby shower at the Wantagh Inn. They have 2 private rooms. I had the downstairs room. I don't know what the price was pp, but if your interested, I could find out. The food and service was excellent.

If Baldwin is not too far west then try the Coral House. My mom said they were very reasonable for a Sunday lunch. My baby shower was there.

food was great

this saturday I have one at the JANI restaurant in wantagh
