Need help planning 'bridal shower' for my Mom

Hi ladies. My parents are renewing their vows in June (in celebration of their 20th wedding anniversary). My Mom's best friend wants to throw her a luncheon (no gifts, specifially stated in the invitation). She has written on the invitation 'Just an excuse to eat cake!'. She wants each guest to write a special memory that they have of my Mom on a card that will be enclosed in the invitation in lieu of a gift. And we plan on reading them at the luncheon. Now for my question. My Mom's friend wants to know what else we can do for the 4 hours besides eat, chit chat and read the cards. Can anyone suggest any kind of games or something we can do to make more special?

to be honest, I think that you don't need to worry about that..whenever a group of women get together, it turns into a chicken's coop (pardon the expression) within 5 minutes! lol

Hi Marcella, sweetie.

That was my thoughts EXACTLY. But my Moms friend is so worried about everything. I told her the 4 hours will fly once all us nutty woman get together!

So when can we do lunch again???
