DAUGHTERS WHO FEEL ALONE - FIRST GTG.......PLEASE READ

Hi Everyone, as you all know, we are about to set up our very first GTG to talk about our Beloved Parents, to vent, to share, to comfort, and support each other.

In our first meeting, we will meet and greet, tell our stories and share our feelings. We will also assign the buddy list. (If anyone is unsure what the buddy list is, please read the original thread on BHB, page 2)

I would like to start compiling a list of who will be attending the GTG.
I also would like feedback on when and where this GTG should take place. All ideas are welcome.

I am getting married May 31st, and will be back from my HM, June 12th.
I will be difficult for me to organize it for a date sooner than June 21st.

I figured a Saturday afternoon would be best. Please let me know which date if prefrerable for you all out of these:

June 21
June 28
July 12
July 19
July 26

I just think that you shouldn't think you are LESS a parent bc they aren't alive!

T............. I see where you're coming from the title is named after the BOOK............. MOTHERLESS DAUGHTERS that most of have read or will read.....

You are right tho' we are not LESS a parent, they will always be with us

I agree with T...your mom or parents are just not here in the physical sense...you are not -less!!!

Liz, to you for organizing all of this. You are a very special person for taking a situation that is painful and turning it around to help yourself and others.

Hi Liz - I think it's great that you're doing this. I'd really like to attend a GTG. I have a feeling it might be a little difficult for me though - I'm all the way out towards the end of the North Fork - but, I will definately try to make it!! For me, probably after June would be better since I'm getting married June 13th and, although we haven't actually planned it yet (I'm always behind in everything) we probably wouldn't be back from our honeymoon until near the end of June.
Thanks for doing this! It does help to know you're not alone.

oneday, that will be fine. I put June 21st as the earliest date.
Maybe we'll shoot for July if you can make it up to Nassau County.

i would love to come still too but we are going to precana on the 26th of july - any of the other days are great though..

do you have to feel alone to come, can't you just miss them..I am only pulling your legs. PS the buckets GTG is the 14th and the 28th of June.
