DAUGHTERS WHO FEEL ALONE - FIRST GTG.......PLEASE READ

Hi Everyone, as you all know, we are about to set up our very first GTG to talk about our Beloved Parents, to vent, to share, to comfort, and support each other.

In our first meeting, we will meet and greet, tell our stories and share our feelings. We will also assign the buddy list. (If anyone is unsure what the buddy list is, please read the original thread on BHB, page 2)

I would like to start compiling a list of who will be attending the GTG.
I also would like feedback on when and where this GTG should take place. All ideas are welcome.

I am getting married May 31st, and will be back from my HM, June 12th.
I will be difficult for me to organize it for a date sooner than June 21st.

I figured a Saturday afternoon would be best. Please let me know which date if prefrerable for you all out of these:

June 21
June 28
July 12
July 19
July 26

I agree with T...your mom or parents are just not here in the physical sense...you are not -less!!!

Hi Liz - I think it's great that you're doing this. I'd really like to attend a GTG. I have a feeling it might be a little difficult for me though - I'm all the way out towards the end of the North Fork - but, I will definately try to make it!! For me, probably after June would be better since I'm getting married June 13th and, although we haven't actually planned it yet (I'm always behind in everything) we probably wouldn't be back from our honeymoon until near the end of June.

oneday, that will be fine. I put June 21st as the earliest date.
Maybe we'll shoot for July if you can make it up to Nassau County.

I have both my parents ( and I feel very lucky for that), but DH lost his father before he was even born...so I do see what you guys feeling through him...

I just want to say what a wonderful idea this is...I am so impressed and infected by your good spirits!!
