Re: are there any other furniture places besides the ones on 110
so far i have been to levitz, roma, seamans, siegermans, the place, hoffman koos, all wood, and nada!! i am not a big fan of dark wood color and some of the ones i actually liked were not made very strong--the drawers were weak!---i don't wanna go to tiffanys-my aunt had problems w/them.........so i think if i am correct i hit them all!...so now i am looking for some new places---i will try macys and ethan allen next--any other suggestions!?:)

I highly recommend Crate and Barrel. The quality is excellent for the price. I also really like Domain. At Tangers, the outlet in Riverhead, there is also a great Pottery Barn outlet. The prices of the furniture are greatly reduced. I got my headboard and bureau for over 60% off.

Ethan Allen! I furnished my entire house with their stuff! Pricey, but it's definately a bedroom set you'll have forever!

My hubby and I just bought our bedroom furniture set from a place called the 'Bedroom Source'. It is on Sunrise Hwy in Lindenhurst. We got a great deal on a beautiful set and they were very nice to work with. The furniture was supposed to take 8 weeks but we got ours in early. Their was only one problem, when they delivered our amoire it was made for a tv and we wanted to put clothes in it. The Bedroom Source sent someone back to our apartment in Queens and they installed shelves for free.I would highly recommend them.

What about ABC Outlet at Tanger? They have the most amazing things - lots of antiquey things and tons of couches, chairs etc...

My Dad makes custom furniture. It is priced competitively to Ethan Allen. The only thing is because he makes it custom, you won't see every option in the showroom. But, for example, if you see a cheap set that you like the look of, but want it built to last- you can bring him the picture- ha can build anything, in any wood, stained to any color.
He is on Sunrise Highway in Copiague- in front of Hess Station just East of Great Neck Road- Next to Milburn Carpet- across from the Fruit Tree- It's called Oak Furniture- 631.789.5742
