Hello 2011 Brides just wondering is it to early to start looking for wedding dresses

I know I have some time but I'm sooo antsy What do u guys think By the way im new to all of this so I could use all the help I can get

if you think your going to be able to find a dress that you love and not want to continue shopping/ looking for more than go ahead and start looking! But it actually takes less time to find your dress than you think, so if your not ready to buy it sometime soon and not rethink your choice everytime you open a magazine, then go for it! As other girls said plenty of girls have gotten their dresses already, its really a personal choice if you think you can commit and be happy! Good luck!

never too early to look.

I've gone dress shopping about 3 times and so far have 1 dress in the running. Going to go a few more times because I have a list of dresses I would like to try on if possible before I make my decision and I plan on ordering about a year out.

I was wondering the same thing. I guess it all depends on whether you would feel 'secure' about the gown once you have purchased it.

I dont think it's too early..unless you are someone that changes her mind frequently lol.... i didn't mean to get my dress already but when I went to look at the first store i found the one! and the price was awesome!

So the attendant told me it was a newer dress and that's why the price was still low and i'm so happy i got it when i did b/c i just saw it this month in a bridal magazine which means the price will prob go up!

I went dress shopping recently and found the dress of my dreams. The key is to stop looking as soon as you find the one. It's never to early to start planning!! :)

i agree! but be careful..dress doubt seems to be pretty common when you have a long gap before the wedding and already have your dress picked out!

After going dress shopping at four different places, it was then that I found the dress of my dreams. I didnt necessarily want to find it yet, but I guess after trying on so many dresses that I would inevitably fall in love with one...and I did.

Also, if you are thinking it is too soon, try to remember some places take up to nine months to get dresses in. Then you need time for alterations, etc...so dont wait too long!

Secondly, I started looking for dresses right away, I have not bought one because I might change my mind later on. I will probably purchase mine sometime in April, 2011!!!

But you can LOOK for dresses to see what style you like and what looks best on you. HTH and Happy Planning

My one regret in planning our wedding was that I bought my dress way too early and then had serious dress regret. I would look and enjoy the process but i wouldn't start so far away if ic ould do it all over! My taste change, I lost weight and my body changed and I would have gotten something very different i think!
