People Stink
So we are going to confront them one by one... as for my posts, time for them to come down.

Re: People Stink
Oh Michelle, I totally feel your pain - friends do $uck - it's so hard to find people who truly are your friends & knows what it means to actually be a friend. My MOH who I thought was a close friend turned out to be one of the most jealous & selfish people I've ever met - and sadly, now Im not even speaking w/her b/c of it. I wont go into my own long vent about her here (I'll save that vent for a separate post
) but it really makes you wonder how people can be so cold & callous.I send you lots of
b/c I know how much it hurts to be disappointed & crushed by someone who you thought enough of to call a 'friend.'I sorry

Re: People Stink

I can't say much except I know exactly how you feel. It's horrible. One good friend of mine totally flaked out during my engagement and made an assss out of herself at our wedding. Another has been distant and has been making plans with another close friend of ours without including me.... Thank God for my GOOD friend who does tell me this so I do know... But yea...
Believe me, I think during these times of our lives, people often get jealous and envy people who have a lot of good going on in their lives. All I can say is F them!

Re: People Stink
I'm so sorry to hear this!
More and more we're all starting to post stories about how friends have been before, during, and after the wedding (and it's never good). If there's anyone who knows how you feel it's us, so we're always here for you.I would tell your friends how you feel and try to explain your side of the story and see what happens (it can't hurt). Worse comes to worse they don't change and you do what you've already resolved to do.

Thats what annoys me the most, its the opposite. We have been to all of their weddings and all of them are in a great place in life.
We would have been married a year sooner, but DH's dad got sick. What did they want us to do, wait a year so Joe could have his second wedding?
Then the only thing I could think of is maybe they feel like that you are in your own world- married and don't need them? Sometimes people feel like this? Why? I have no clue but I have heard this before...

Yeah I mean, from what you said it seems like they didn't really consider their first wedding their real wedding, so its a little mean in my eyes to say that it was their 'second wedding.' Thats like saying if you and DH had gotten married at city hall because you needed insurance or something, that your wedding at Land's End isn't really your wedding, KWIM?
It sounds like the groom understood the situation though so I don't really understand what everyone else is pissed off at? I mean, its not like you missed their wedding? But maybe the above poster is correct and they felt it was a snub to the group and that you don't need them? IDK.
people ****.Also, I must've done a really good job in cutting my friends as the years went on because I can honestly say I had no falling outs with anyone during my wedding planning! I also think thats because we didn't have a bridal party, just a MOH and a BM.

Re: People Stink
Sorry girls, I hope I am not coming off bitchy here... its just this group has been inseparable since we all met in Oct 1998 and went to Urban Legends. They were my best friends. Despite moving all over the country we made an effort to all see each other at least twice a year and we rarely missed it. And like I said it was me and 7 guys. I always dreaded what bringing others into the group would do to us. I was relieved I got along with most of the wives but never knew what bringing a guy into the group would do to us . Instead I end up falling in love and marrying one of them, the only one to stay within the group, and we are the ones who get pushed out. It is very hurtful.Welcome New Vendors
