Today would have been...

Our wedding day, had everything panned out the way we had originally planned.

I'm thrilled of course for the slew of girls getting married today that it's so gorgeous out. But part of me is a little bummed, like it's so nice out today on the day we wanted to get married, that of course it's going to rain/sleet/snow on our actual date

So when does that long range forecast come out? I need something else to stress about

Re: Today would have been...

How come you moved your date, I didn't realize it.

I am happy you have the date you have - I use you as my guide to make sure I am on track, since I am the week after you!

Re: Today would have been...

Well, we didn't officially move our date, our only booked date ever is 12/5. When we first started planning right after we got engaged we picked 11/7 as our first choice date, but were willing to move backward or forward by a few weekends depending on availability, price, etc. Turns out the places we wanted as a first choice were either already booked for that date, or wanted double the price and a crazy high minimum for a Sat night in November and October, but once we priced out 12/5 it drastically lowered, so since that was our last choice date in terms of how late we were willing to go in to the Winter months and before the Greek Orthodox Advent blackout dates started 12/13, we just went with that.

I felt the same way about 8/1! When we were looking at Gurney's, the only date they had open was 8/1 so that was going to be our wedding day! I'm thrilled Barb had nice weather tho and I ended up with beautiful weather as well!

Re: Today would have been...

Even if they predicted the weather now, you never know what will happen the day of. I am sure whatever the weather, you will have the day of your dreams. It is coming soon, enjoy every last moment of being engaged and all the excitement that leads up to your big day.
