I hate budgets!!!

I just met with a vendor that FH and I were REALLY excited about....we loved what they do and we really wanted them for the wedding....this is like my DREAM vendor and I was so so so excited to meet with them...


....until I found out they cost $4000 over what we budgeted!!! I had to really hold myself together when they were showing me the pricing list...then after the meeting I made it to the car, called FH and started crying my eyes out. I really thought this was gonna work out, and then I got crushed by those numbers.

FH was sooooo sweet....he hates to see me upset and to hear me cry...he kept saying 'We are only gonna do this once, we should do it right....we can use my 401k to pay for the difference....we can look at loans'....it was soooo sweet of him, but I can't do either of those things...I can't spend $4000 extra that could just as well go to a house.


Uggggghhhhhhh...I hate money!! Why does everything have to cost SOOOOO much???

We weren't going to have a videographer because we thought it would be super cheesy like the old videos they used to make then I saw Pennylane's website. Stupid me didn't check out the price first I went straight to the blog with all their videos!!! So now I am in love with their work and so disappointed that they are 3K over budget and we can't go with them

Awwww trust me, I did the same thing but it was for a RH!

I'm sure you'll be able to find someone you love at the right price!

wow thats a lot over budget..... with this process i found that if you keep your head up and keep searching you will find what you are looking for

plus if its $4000 over budget it wasnt meant to be!! and isnt that what this is all about.....

Oh man im sorry i know how you feel. Sometimes i wish i had no budget and more $$$ to spend > I'm sure you will find some one you like that's within your budget as well hang in there

I feel the same way also. Every married person that we speak to keeps saying that if they could have done it over , they would have eloped. I HATE when people say that. They keep saying they would have used to money towards something else.

I know how you feel! The band that I LOVE is $5000 more than what I planned on spending. Ridiculous! Maybe you can cut adjust your budget a little bit so you can use the vendor. (by adjust your budget, I mean, spend less on a different vendor, or do some DIY projects to avoid extra costs)

If it is meant to be, it will be... try not to stress!

FH and I had a bad habit of signing with the first vendor we met. Needless to say, we are fast approaching out budget cap and not done yet. I agree with most of the brides in that you should
a. Shop around
b. cut from another expense
c. DIY whenever feasible (not everything should be done yourself cause in the end it will be just you doing stuff)

I know exactly what you mean!! In my case some vendors are more than half of my budget for the whole wedding!!! its really tough. But if you keep looking around you'll find people who are really good and offer a price more accesible to you.

I know how you feel. FH and I are paying for everything ourselves. We're trying to stay on a budget as much as possible.

Ironically, I started out saying let's just elope and now we're having a wedding!!! I just got so excited with planning everything.

With that being said, I have a limit with certain things. But that's why creating a budget is so important. It is your special day so spend as much or as little as you want without regrets!

I understand exactly what you are going through!! And the worst is how nice FH is!! Right?

Take heart - I am sure you will find another vendor you love within your budget. Who knows? You may even find another vender you like even more!!
