Re: wedding favors
We're going to do cookie favors. I have a bunch of ideas for cookie favors in my album. I am doing a subtle cherry blossom theme so we're thinking of having cookies that are decorated with CBs. They will probably be about $3 - 3.75 per cookie depending on which cookie we go with.

Re: wedding favors
Since it would be an add @ our RH it is around 5.50 pp but that is for about 4 different things (cotton candy, candy apples, popcorn and pretzels)

We're leaning towards cookies or a photobooth as our favors...

Re: wedding favors
I'm doing a bird seed favor ornament that's shaped like a heart! It's super cute. It works out to less than $1 per favor.I'm also thinking of ordering the personalized m&ms and making my own individual baggies.
I'm going to get a special favor for the BP, MOB and MOG. I found a really cute solid chocolate candy cake favors designed like a wedding cake. This will roughly cost $5-8 per favor (I need 8 of them).

Re: wedding favors
I am doing a donation instead of a favor. We have not decided which foundation or charity yet. The person who is custom designing our invitations is doing something that will present the donation on each table.

I was thinking about doing a donation too! We are also looking into the photobooth idea.... I'm not sure how much photobooths costs though?

Re: wedding favors
I'm doing wedding favors, and I actually just ordered mine last week. I don't think its too early to order them if you found ones you like. I think its better to do a little bit at a time rather than having all of the costs overwhelm you at the last minute. We're doing icecream scoop favors.. The scoop part is shaped like a heart and it says scoop of love on the handle.

I've heard that too.
For myself, I think I'm deciding against favors.
Besides the fact that I'm paying an astronomical amount per person for my reception hall for 200+ people. Which chances are I won't make close to that amount back from gifts (which is fine, I didn't expect too - but I'm going to give people a gift on top of that?)
Also most favors get thrown out, or shoved in a drawer. All my coworkers and middle aged relatives advised me not to 'waste my money'.
After all the food everyone is going to be eating I don't like the idea of edible favors, also my RH hands out gourmet chocolates on the way out of the building.
The only thing I was considering was heart shaped wine bottle stoppers but again.. it will be thrown in a drawer. Plus it's a very common favor.
I've gotten many gifts from weddings. I've thrown them all out, except a Christmas tree ornament I got one wedding which is cute.
I don't think there is anything wrong with doing favors, but unless something really WOWs me, I'm not doing it. I'm spending enough money on everything else for me to spend a couple dollars per person on something they'll throw out.

I am doing a candy buffet at the end of the night and also cake boxes at each place setting as my favor. I have never been to a wedding where they didnt hand out some type of a thank you for coming gift whether edible or not
