I got my gown today! (For real this time!!) with pics!

I went to the Reem Acra sample sale with my mom and there it was!! It fits me PERFECTLY just has to be shortened about an inch...I'm sooooo excited!!!

OMG I LOOOOOOVE REEM ACRA gowns!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Congrats on finding 'the dress!!' I'm sure it is beautiful! Please post a pic when you can!!! Is it on her website?? I am in love w/her gowns!! How was the sample sale? Were prices good?

Its not on her website - I checked there first before posting . The price was great considering what they go for in the store - I got it for about $3500 LESS than what its selling for. Its from her new couture line - I totally DID NOT expect to find anything. My mom and I are still in shock. I can't gain an ounce otherwise it won't fit in a year but I'm not going to worry about that yet! They told me that the gown I bought had only been worn by a runway model. Its a little dirty along the bottom but other than that it was fine. They had an 'expert' on hand so he looked at it, promised my mom and I that it would come clean (so now I have someone to yell at if it doesn't) and they'll also do the tailoring - I don't think I would have purchased it if it didn't fit though... I don't trust anyone. I'm 1000 feet in the air right now...

I am soooooo happy for you!!! I can't wait to find my dress too! I tried on a beautiful Reem Acra gown last week at Saks. Its from her new collection. I fell in love with it!!
Edited to add: I have an appt. at the Reem Acra salon in the city in a few weeks. Do they have a lot of gowns there??
I wish I would have gone to the sample sale today!!!

yeah, they had a lot! I tried on maybe 6 gowns though - I've already gone looking a few times so I knew exactly the look I wanted, which is why I thought I wouldn't find anything. What does the one you fell in love with look like? I wonder if its the same one....I can't wait to take a picture! Its going into storage in a month - I'm waiting until school is over and this way my BP can see it on me first.

The sample I tried on was a blush pink. THere isn't a pic on the website. It;s off the shoulder though.

mine is ivory w/ straps that sit on the shoulder and a-line (and I totally wanted strapless, but this works better). They had one pink gown there in the mix, but it was damaged so I didn't even look at it.

OHHHHHH I LOVE the Ream Acra's I tried one on at the Wedding Salon of Manhasset and fell in love with it - but it was a little more than I wanted to spend.
