Engagement party ideas
So! I know I want to have an engagement party this May-June. I also would like to do it in the backyard of my home. The reason for this is it can be customized, have a bigger guest list, less expensive and most importantly not a time limit! Any suggestions to make this party the best Eparty ever! what have you had at yours or will you have?

Re: Engagement party ideas
We did our enagament party on the fourth of July and EVERYONE had a blast. I really didn't want to do fourth of July decorations so we went with a orange and yellow theme and everything looked BEAUTIFUL!! Check out my album for pictures of my centerpieces, etc.. I would defintely go with a backyard party because its so much more intimate. We had candles EVERYWHERE and it looked so PRETTY at night. We hired a DJ and lite some fireworks..(I know illegal
) But really it was the best time that i had in a long time...My Mom did all of the cooking and we ordered wine for each table....Gosh I want to go back but all joking aside go for it!!

Re: Engagement party ideas
Our Engagement party was held this past August at our local state park. We rented the Pavilion!! It was awesome! It was nice and secluded and felt like we had the whole space just for ourselves! We made it into a Hawaiian theme (well my future mother in law and my mom did, lol) It was great! It was perfect weather so it worked out! Your definetly right about being able to open it up to alot more people... Everyone loves a great BBQ, great food and drinks with fabulous company! I'd say you should definetly go ahead with the back yard plans... it will definetly save you guys alot of money from renting a hall!!! Good Luck!
