Shoe Q
has anyone ever cut an inch or 1/2 inch off heels to make them shorter? all the cute shoes are 3-4 inches and i cannot wear those all night for my wedding!

No I've never done that. Maybe you can find out from a shoe repair shop?

Have you checked all possible options? I bought Caparros. The shoe height is 2 inches. Totally not unbearable.

This is what I'm always afraid of. Then the arch will be all weird if you cut part of the heel.

That's what I was thinking. The heel would be shorter than the rest of the shoe, unless I'm not understanding correctly.

my girlfriend had it done, they were fine but the only thing is that they really cant take too much off... its like a very little... but they would have to see he shoes

I had my heels shaved a 1/3 in. I would bring all options to a shoe maker and see what he says. The problem is, most shoes have an arch designed to help flatter the heel. However, where the plastic part of the shoe usually is, the tip, that can sometimes be removed and replaced over the shaved part, allowing up to 1/2 in removed. When I checked to see if my shoes could be shaved, I took them to my shoe maker, who than determined it.

if you go to myglassslipper.com you can sort my heel length. Check out the medium heel lenths. I don't know if chopping off an inch would work because the angle of the shoe may be offWelcome New Vendors
