so upset...

I got my proofs about 3 weeks ago and I looked through them and I am just so unhappy. Im unhappy with both my overall wedding day look and the lack of creativity in the photos. I dont know what to do, Ive been in tears over this and I guess I just needed to vent

Weren't you giving yourself a hard time about your hair recently, too? Trust in the vision you had, and please don't pick yourself apart! You looked great!!!

ETA: Okay, I even just went back and looked at your non-pros again. YOU LOOKED GORGEOUS. My friend said she hated her pros at first and then now she loves them. I think some people go through this.

You look beautiful in the pictures in the album on here.

I am worrying about how our pictures comes out. We pick up our proofs on Saturday morning and I am so nervous....not sure if they will look good, they got all the shots we wanted, etc.

I know it's upsetting to you, but maybe you should put the pics on the side for now for a few days then go back to them.

I hated my photos as well. I was crying and DH was PI$$ED! I didn't think they were creative AT ALL and actually found them very old fashioned and poorly done (cars in the background, a lot of the same photo over and over, not a lot of shots of my guests/dancing, etc.). That being said, when we only had to pick the best 100 for our album, we were MUCH happier with the final outcome. Of course I would never recommend my photographer to anyone but I will at least say that my albums weren't a complete waste of money.

You could always get day after photos where you and DH get all dressed up again and take some more shots of the two of you as well. We used William Chang and LOVE his stuff (www.williamchangblog.com) and he has REALLy good prices on his a la carte photos.

I totally agree with this.. def do some day after pictures if your completely unhappy withthe outcome of your wedding day.. From the pics in your album I think u look gorgeous.. but if your truley not happy definately try and get some day after photos with a different photog. HTH

thanks so much girls, I wish I could post some proofs but they didnt give me the CD of the images yet. The quality and lighting of the pictures are great and he got all of the important family shots so I cant complain that much, I was just hoping for more wow factor-esp with the amt of money we spent. I would love to do day after shots but my DH would never go for it!
