Seamstress advice

Does anyone know of a really good seamstress? I bought my gown at RK Bridal, but they only have Tuesdays-Thursdays available for fittings. Which means I would have to take 4 days off of work to go into the city (1 when the dress comes in and 3 for the fittings). If I took that much time off I'd have no vacation days left for the honeymoon!

really? Maybe they dont have any more appointments available because all my fittings were scheduled on Saturdays.

same here! the original try-on had to be during the week. but once you are scheduled for alterations, they have saturday availability as well

I checked. All of the Saturdays were booked up until my wedding date.

Try Phyllis at Bridal Elegance in Dix Hills. I hear she is fantastic and even though I bought my dress somewhere else (which was a mistake anyway), I am doing my alterations there.
