Girls getting married at either CHCC, NRC or Fox Hollow

I am looking for a salon in that area. I am getting married in November at the CHCC and want to go to a salon in the area where I can get my make-up and hair done. Thanks so much.

Jodi, ask Sharon, the wedding planner at Crest Hollow. She has a ton of recommendations of salons as well as people that will come to Crest Hollow and do everything there!

I have not talked to Sharon at all. What have you used her for. Maybe I should talk to her about things that I am thinking about for my wedding.

Cactus Salons are all over the place. There is one in Plainview and Syosset, check this out.

I might be using Jillian from the Cactus Salon in Commack- she will come to you on the day of. She's a vendor on this board and very nice. She works under Gorgeous Faces. She's so sweet and very reasonably priced.

We met with her right when we started looking for vendors. She was helpful with a few things, especially the photographers and price ranges. She also has coupons for a lot of the house vendors. She's very sweet, it was a pretty worthwhile meeting! She gives you lists of the vendors, price ranges, suggestions...

I'm using Pedestals, they've been great so far...and they know Crest Hollow really well, so I have no worries about set up or anything.

If you have an hour, make an appt. with her.

I am actually getting my hair done in Bellmore at a great place- I can give you the info if you want it. It's less than 20 min. away from CH. Then I am going ot go to CH to get mine amd my girls and mom's make-up done. This is the plan so far! It might be easier to have someone come to you the day of.

Mistyeyed- I am using Pedestals too. Who are you working with?

I never really was told about Sharon. I am going to have to call and find out about getting an appointment with her.

I am also using Pedestals. I fell in love with Danny, but I hear that he is no longer there. I think you may have posted this info, not too sure though. Who are you using?

I booked Pedestals back in November, but have not gone back there since.

I'm using Juda, she's an absolute sweetheart, and very, very responsive to lots of ideas.

I am working with Juda too who has bent over backwards showing us different centerpieces. I am just so confused about flowers and don't know what to do! Did you girls know what you wanted or are going on their suggestions?

I was never told about Sharon either. I think I heard about her from the boards and I called her once. I talked to her about a non CHCC vendor who apparently she didn't like and she was very rude to me about it. I felt horrible after that and never called her again!

I changed my entire centerpiece when I went to go see the first sample. She literally stood on the table and ripped everything out and redid right in front of me. She has no problem going over and over everything....

Yeah, I think Sharon's purpose there is to hawk their vendors, she wasn't very responsive when we told her we weren't using a house band either...

I am going to call today and see if Juda is available for my day. They never called me to tell me about Danny even though he is the one on my contract.
