Have to change my Wedding date

Due to family illness, I'm changing my date. My FItobe's father is ill and just had more complications. I'm totally ok with that though! It just means I get my FItobe sooner!!!! And it also means his dad will be here too. That is so much more imporatant to me than anything else.

We're moving our date from Sept to May 16, 2004 - which seems to be a popular date!!!!! I couldn't do it earlier (work related issues) but it is the earliest we could. Just wanted to let you know that I am now a May Bride! I get to join a whole new board!

And now, since I have nothing done and less than a year to go - OFF TO PLAN!!!!!

I'm getting married on May 16 also and so is Jess and Robeymuse

Edited to say: Did you speak to Sand Castle already? Were they accomodating?

Marcela - yes we did. They were VERY ACCOMIDATING!!!! I was so happy - not one issue!!! They are holding the date until I go to get another contract in two days

Olga - I hope turns out well with your FFIL.
I had to change my date too - but because I'm a doof, not because of illness (I mis-plotted the PBA calendar for 2003 and told FH he had certain days off when he in fact, did not). Turns out, I feel like our current (and going forward) wedding date was always the one we were meant to have (Sept 6, 2003 vs. Aug 9, 2003). I hope you have the same feeling!

I only started planning in January for my Sept 03 wedding, so don't stress about the less time.

my best friend was due to get married in 9 or 10/01 and moved it up to April bc her FMIL was very sick. She was very glad she did. Good for you!
