Bridesmaid dresses--did anyone order four months or less before your wedding?

Is this ok? If so, where did you buy them? Do you get charged a late fee?

I am in my friends wedding this weekend and we ordered our dresses in mid march. They came in on time. We got them at Davids Bridal in Carle Place since they guarantee to have them in 6 weeks or less. I dont recommend them since she had major problems with her wedding gown, although it worked out time wise since everything was last minute. I would think you will be fine with time if you get them ASAP.

My friend just ordered her BM dresses this week and her wedding is the first weekend in Sept.
I think the place is called Lilette's.Its somewhere in Nassau.I could find out for you.No rush fee is being charged but the lady told her they had to be ordered this week.

I know Cathy's in Lindenhurst specializes in rush weddings so you can check there if you are running short on time.

Not sure about most places but just called priscilla of boston (they carry siri and watters and watters) and they said for october wedding should order by last week in june, first week in july THE LATEST...not sure about other stores though

I ordered mine 6 months in advance but they all came in in about 4 weeks from RK Bridal. RK had told me that as long as you do them three months in advance there is no fee and no problem.

we ordered most in Dec (for April), except 1 that was ordered in Feb (she was losing baby weight). We ordered them all online and they were in within 4-6 weeks.

I just order mine last week and my wedding is in october this year. it takes about 8-10 weeks or 3 months to get dresses in. but dont cut too close just in case, then if they need alterations. plus need swatch for shoes, if your dying to match and you need the dress for that.

We cut it VERY close, but were fine. We ordered ours from netbride 9 weeks before the wedding. We paid a rush fee per fress (but it was still cheaper than a salon) to make sure they were there in 7 weeks so that the girls could have a a couple of weeks to get them altered. In the meantime, netbride sent us swatches and bridalshoes.com (BLESS THEM) dyed all the shoes to match on time and did NOT even charge us a rush fee or additional shipping charges (only $15 total to ship 5 different shoes to 5 different addresses!!!!!!)

You can definitely get it all done in 4 months or less!!

i ordered mine may 1 for a sept 13 wedding from netbride. they told us we'd have no problem getting them, no extra fees.

For most of the designers I was looking at (Aria, Watters, Dessy and J. Helm), they said there was a 12 week delivery time. I wanted enough time for alterations or unforseen problems. I ordered my dresses mid-April for my July wedding, but I payed a rush fee. I ordered from RK Bridal and even with the rush fee the dresses were less than they were at Priscilla of Boston (watters dresses) and other places.

We ordered ours about 5 months before and all the girls got them within 2 weeks. Jessica McClintock store in Roosevelt Field.

I ordered mine last month and my wedding is in September. I order from netbride and they told me that the dresses would arrive in mid July. You still have time - just get moving. lol

My sister ordered a Nicole Miller dress for my wedding (she's MOH) and received it in less than 2 weeks. She went someplace in the city...I can find out.

I ordered mine in April and wedding is in September. They will be in around early July. I got them through RK Bridal in Manhattan.

Try Estelle's Dressy Dresses - you can buy multiples off the rack or if they don't have all the sizes you need they will order tthem for you and it's pretty quick.

i'm not the chance taker when it comes to my wedding..... i ordered them on the year anniversary before the big day!
