what the ***##))! is wrong with people?? (vent)

so as some may know, i am in grad school and have worked really hard these past two weeks or so to finishup my part of group projects. the last one is due today...my part and the part done by another group member have been done - however, the other two guys in our group haven't done crap...one emailed us 22 pgs (the paper itself is 30 for all our parts) which we had to cut down - his reopnse? my part was too important and icouldn't cut it down(as if our parts aren't worht anything!) - so we cut it down last night all night.....then todya, the other guy (who we have been calling and emailing since our cut off datwe was this past monday at 5) emails us to say he won't be doing it...he then also forwarded an emial to us that he had supposedly sent our professor.....

so i just spent this morning - before work trying to do his part - the thing is - we did a powerpoint already and his part was in talking point form there so all he would have had to do is write it out....but he couldn't - in a whole week.....

am i just crazy or is common sense that when in a group project you realize its not just your own butt but other's too so you do your share?? i can't believe this....we are turning in our paper without his name on it.....

oh god - I so know where you're coming from - this happened to me 2X in grad school. Ugh!!

I'd say something to the professor if you don't have group evaluations as well

This sounds exactly like my past posts about group projects. I always get stuck doing other peoples parts- I know how you feel!

I'm only in undergrad but I HATE GROUP WORK!!! People have absolutely no courtesy for others!! I was in a group project in my theater class this semester (a group play, lol) and one of the main characters decided not to show up the last three weeks - and we were graded on it!! Fortunately, that won't affect my grade but it definitely made rehersal difficult!

i hate group projects!! I'm always stuck doing everything... happened this semester. Three of us had to discuss important points of a chapter... none of them gave me any feedback. Then when presentation day came, the other two played hooky! So i had to do the whole thing...

I always hated group projects. Something like this happened to me in grad school. Not only did we include it without the person's name but we also told the professor. It's amazing sometimes how stupid people can be. I would do that if they don't do any work. Hope it works out for you!

I'm so sorry!! That's is so irresponsible of that guy to be so casual about not doing his part of the assignment.

the thing i dreaded most in grad school was group projects!! i hated them!!!!!! the only time 6 professional people were free was always 6-10pm on sunday nights! it $ucked!!!!!

hang in there - it will be worth it in the end!!!

what professionals i have in my group - with the exception of one other...well, the guy who never did anything sent us his part at 3 the day it was due...we had already finished editing with the part i wrote for him - but his name was left off the coverpage and he did the right thing by emailing our professor...but it still burns me up.....

and I hate group projects too but my program loves them...yuck!!

I hate group projects!!!!! Simply because some people are so inconsiderate. Some young ladies actually got into a fist fight in the grad program that I am in, over a group project!!!!
