Michaels sells them pretty cheap. We needed a lot once for an event I was coordinating and we called Pier One..they did all the leg work of mustering up 400 of them.

I got some on Ebay.

I paid about $19.00 for 120 votives.

Future I am doing the same thing placing them around my centerpieces.

Did you upgrade yours yet?

I have to call, to set up some time to go out there since I'm in NJ. I am getting antsy about it! I have to figure out ebay, my FH bids all the time so I guess I will have to give him the task! (With my supervision of course LOL wouldn't want him to bid on some ugly candles)!

Hi.

I just got plain white votives, and I bought some clear votive candle holders at Ikea- 4 pack for $1.50. I purchased about 14 packs.

These are very basic and small clear votive holders.
I am using these to compliment my floral centerpieces.

I am thinking for the placecard holders you may want the bigger holders.

When I go home tonight I will write down the dimensions and let you know.

Ok, if you don't mind traveling for a weekend (maybe get some girlfriends who want to take a short road trip for the weekend), in Massachusetts, we have this store The Christmas Tree Shoppe (not Christmas stuff). You can buy in bulk and save SOOOO much money! But maybe the trip will defeat the cost cutting purpose! I would try online instead if that's not feasible.

Michael's runs sales on their clear votives, pretty often. What about tea light candles instead? You can get those in bulk - evan at Ikea - and rather inexpensive.

Party City had an 'Unadvertised Special' on votive holders last week. One pack of three clear glass holders for 59 cents each! I got 70 for under 10 bucks!

They also had candles for the same price but they were scented and I didn't want to overwhelm the guests.
