Re: George Forman grill recipes...
We cook our skirt steaks on there.Just put salt and pepper before you cook it and don't overcook. Its delicious.
We also use the grill to make grilled cheese sandwiches.Spread a little butter on bread before you place it on the grill. It will make the best grilled cheese sandwich you ever had.

I makes the best salmon. i just spray it ith lemon juice or apple vinegar and parsley and let it stand for like 30 min them spray the grill with cooking spray and let it stand for 3-5 min then put the fish, 15 min and salmon is done.

Re: George Forman grill recipes...
N&L doesn't the salmon come out dry though? I tried doing salmon on the grill and it is really dry. Once I marinated it (I know...don't laugh but I am starting to learn how to cook) and all the seasonings were gone!

I hate my george foreman! Maybe I just don't know how to use it. Everything always comes out so dry and the seasonings get stuck on the grill. Am willing to give it a 2nd chance if anyone has any tips??

Re: George Forman grill recipes...
CW I try not to put any seasoning because it burns before the fish is ready. But so far my salmon was never dry, Just remember to spray the grill with oil. apple or wine vinegar makes it very juicy. It comes out great.

Re: George Forman grill recipes...
Wanda, yep you can do that. Sometimes I just put some in a plate and dip the pieces of fish into it. The most important thing is not to leave it for too longin the grill. It's nice if you have that temperature thingy that tells you when meat is ready. I've been meaning to get myself one of those. Maybe I'll register for one

Re: George Forman grill recipes...
When I marinated the salmon in cajun seasoning, my father did tell me the piece I put in the grill was WAY too thick! He was laughing at me!! I will try again and see what happens. But the more I think about it I wonder how does the sauce you put on it remain on there without dripping off since that is the purpose of the grill. How do you prevent that from happening.

Re: George Forman grill recipes...
If you marinate the chicken, I guess it gets absorbed. The glaze is really thick, too, so it doesn't really drip.I don't know much about cooking fish....I only know how to fry it!

Re: George Forman grill recipes...
I used to hate my grill because everything came out too dry, but the problem was I was coooking everything too long. You have to remember that it cooks in about half the time because it is cooking from both sides. When you cook chicken just make sure the juices are clear and you'll be fine. I like to marinate chicken in italian dressing & it comes out so juicy.Anybody else have this problem...when I cook chicken there is always this gooey orange residue on the grill. The chicken is fine, but the grill is so gross!

Re: George Forman grill recipes...
That last point about the cooking time was a good one! That is probably why everything is dry. My stuff always comes out great (steak, pork chops, chicken) but I think that what I hate most about the whole thing is definitely cleaning it!!!!! Now if Georgie could come up w/ a detachable, dishwasher-safe version, he would REALLY be my new best friend!

Re: George Forman grill recipes...
You have to clean it while it is still hot and it is so easy! We use as wet scrubber sponge.

Thanks for the hot dog tips. I will try sticking them in between the next time and see what happens. Erica I never even thought about skewers. That is a really good idea. Thanks
