I was a student there for 6 weeks about 3 years ago. We spent a VERY long day there.

Were you brave at Monteverde and to the canopy tour or did you do the bridges like me?I even tried to chicken out of the bridges but there was no where to go!

Re: Alina More Costa Rica pics
I did the canopy tour in Monteverde- It was FUN, but waiting on the platforms for my next ride freaked me out a bit.

Re: Alina More Costa Rica pics
I did the canopy in Arenal. We horseback rode, then hiked, then did the canopy, then horseback rode back again. It was a ball! The platforms were a bit scary though!

Re: Alina More Costa Rica pics
You are BRAVE!! I freaked on the first bridge. Came down and asked them if they had anything for chickens. They sent me on this path and told me I would meet my friends. Well the rest was all bridges and I was stuck from then on. I have no pictures from the bridges because I was shaking to bad to let go!!!Going to scan some more

Re: Alina More Costa Rica pics
nope sounds good to me!Tabacon is nice to spend a couple of days at. The hot springs are amazing. There is not a TON to do this, so after a couple of days it is fine to move on. Monteverde, is where the quakers still live. The road up there is not paved and there is only (if I remember correcty) one place to go out at night. Also very beautiful but I couldn't spend a whole week there either. Manuel Antonio is supposed to be amazing. I never made it there
I also loved San José. I think it is great!¡Pura Vida!

Re: Alina More Costa Rica pics
Definitely spend more time in Manuel Antonio than in Arenal! We loved it and there was so much to do! Restaurants, rainforests, beaches, tours, etc. If I went back I would certainly go to the area again and stay at Si Como No again. I don't think I'd go back to Arenal. I wasn't very impressed by Tabacon. The service wasn't like I got from other Costa Rican places. But it was good to go to once. I heard Tamarindo is fantastic! I don't think it will be too much traveling but the ride from Arenal to Manuel Antonio is about 5+ hours. The roads there aren't very direct and you have to go through the mountains. Please feel free to FM me if you have any questions about the places! We adored CR!!!!

Re: Alina More Costa Rica pics
tamarindo was fantastic! beautiful resorts. we stayed at the el diria. however, nothing to do at night. a few days there & we moved on. i loved the tabacon. we stayed at the resort & had a jacuzzi on our balcony & a view of the volcano. went to the spa, just relaxed. but after two days, i'd move on.when traveling around, you get to see so many wonderful places, but you do a ton of driving on dirt & rocky roads. the driving is tough, but worth it!
