DH and I are really into old looking houses. My favorites are Victorian style homes. I like wrap around porches, interesting shapes, and lots of rooms inside. This picture is actually really close to what we want our property to look like too. Big open yard, dark colored house (we like slate grey, or a medium blue), and trees too.

I can't find a picture....but I LOOOOOOVE colonials...something with period built-ins and an entry foyer that stretches to the back of the house. Ideally right on the water or within view of it.

I fell in love with one at an open house Sunday...but we can't afford it

I love that! I would love to live in a city in an apartment like that, but DH would need a lot of convincing. I'm a city girl, but he's a suburb kinda boy.
