If invited to e-party...do they get invite to wedding too

If someone asked me this, I'd say YES..

But there are a few people that we might want to invite to the e-party,,less formal,,,but when the time comes for the wedding, next year, may not want too. What woud you do????

I wouldnt invite them to the e-party...I think they would be offended and that all u wanted was a gift..

I would say in most cases they absolutely have to be invited to the wedding also.

But we went to an engagement party for a distant cousin a few weeks back and we know we will not be going to the wedding. The wedding will be out of state and the engagement party was more of a family reunion and we were more than happy to go : ).

I know someone that this was done to, and it's the most rude thing ever. And a lot of people noticed it. It wasn't because they weren't friends anymore either...they were. I personally wouldn't do it.

If you're not sure how close you really are than don't invite them to the E-party. I think it is rude to invite someone to the E-party and not the wedding. I think the E-party is more intimate than the wedding I only invited half the people on my wedding list to the E-party!

I would not invite them to the eparty unless your positive that you want them at the wedding - they will assume they're invited and then be hurt when they are not.

final question...will they be insulted if wasn't invited to e-party, but was to wedding???? (this way I won't offend if I choose not to invite to wedding), play it safe now??

I say ALL OR NONE (if they already attended the eparty). Definitely I would be insulted. Once they are invited to the eparty, the choice should be to the guest whether to attend the wedding or not.

Your second scenario is much better. To be invited to the wedding, but not the eparty. Eparties are much more intimate, and it's okay not to invite everyone.

Eparties are more intimiate. We invited those that are dear and near to us. At the wedding we are inviting other family friends that Carl and I aren't close to that our parents just HAVE to invite or family members that we haven't seen in years that keep in touch with our parents or our out of town guests. I would be insulted if I was invited to an eparty but not the wedding. That's like inviting someone to a bridal shower but not the wedding.

you definitely can not invite them to the e-party and not to the wedding. a few years back i got invited to a shower and not the wedding, and i was pi$$ed!!!!!!! it's definitely okay to not invite to the e-party and then invite to the wedding. our e-party was only family and BP members.

I agree with EvanEden, and I also think you are better off not inviting them to the e-party but invite them to the wedding if you have any concerns about this, it covers your butt also.

If I was invited to an e-party and not the wedding, I would be offended. I think if you invite them to one you should invite them to the other.

I wouldn't invite them...
But I had my e party 3 years ago and took a lot of people off the list for the wedding- some of them we haven't seen since!

I had 100 people at my e party and will have about 400 at my wedding.
U do what is right to you.But if you come ot my E party you are comming to my shower and weddinG!
