I wish I had seen pics of happy brides while the skies opened up on their wedding day! Lets help all the weather nervous brides feel better!

here's another shot...not too many outside since it was so crummy.


Just from my own experience, where we got married (Queens County Farm Museum), we picked it so we could get married outside. I was soooooo upset the day of the wedding. However, the rain made our wedding much more intimate. People all stayed in the same place instead of breaking off and walking around. It was really nice after all!

Misteyed - you are so sweet! I totally don't care if the weather is yucky - I'm worried about transportation issues more than anything - like if no one can get there!!

This is the only one where you can see an umbrella (that I have here at work). Trust me - though it rained, I hardly knew it - it was the BEST day of my life!!!

Don't mind me liftin up my dress and all LOL!

Here's a pic from our May 31st wedding about 5 minutes before it started to rain. Regardless, we had the best day!

Misty, I just wanted to say, What a Great Idea! This is a really nice thing to show all us brides who are worried about rain on our wedding days! This spring and summer has been so nasty that rain is such a distinct possibility, but it's still hard to imagine being happy if it rains! I mean, we specifically booked a hall that has ample indoor facilties in the (90%) chance that it rains, but, still, I would love to be able to take my pictures outside, etc. I keep telling myself it doesn't matter and I am going to try SO hard to not be upset if it does rain, which I am SURE it will. So this really helps. Thanks!!

You all look so happy this makes me feel better...I always thought it would be a disaster if it rains on my big day but it won't be!!! Now as long as I am not sick or having AF visit...!! You guys are adorable

My cocktail hour and ceremony outside didn't happen either, but the indoor ceremony was a blessing in disguise! It was gorgeous and we never would have had the same effect outside. Cocktail hour went fine, too. We still had an amazing view of the bay, even if we couldn't be out there.

My pictures were okay. I haven't seen the proofs yet. The indoor ones were at the studio, because I didn't have a backup place.

GET A BACKUP PLACE NOW!!!!!!!!

Even if it's someone's nice living room or something!! You don't want a plain beige background for your wedding pics...

Later it stopped raining and we got some shots outside at the gazebo. I'm sure the proofs will be great. I'll post some when I get them!

The rain did not stop either of us from smiling!! it was a great day!
