Hoop question?

I saw on another thread girls saying they had a hoop in their gown. What is this. I got crinolin for underneath but the hoop sounds interesting...is it lighter? Does it get sewn in .... does the dress need to be ordered with it?

Re: Hoop question?

It's this, I used it & loved it:

You can easily reduce the size of the hoops to your ideal width. You can also easily remove the hoops for wearing it without hoops

Re: Hoop question?

Its more comfortable keeps the dress of your legs & gives you a fuller look.

It's just like a regular crinoline you wear it underneath

Re: Hoop question?

Hmm... that looks interesting....

Jenn, did the hoops bend when you had to sit... for some reason I'm picturing that 90210 episode where Donna had a VERY hard time with her dress...

Re: Hoop question?

Actually when you sit or lay for pics it makes the dress look even prettier, they don't bend really, just a tiny bit maybe

i loved it and i made my hoops smaller when it arrived, i had alot of tulle under my dress as it was

Re: Hoop question?

do you have to order your dress with it or can they put it in later? Also if you have the hoop do you not need the full petticoat crinolin thing?

Re: Hoop question?

A hoop IS a crinoline just with hoops inside.

You order it separate and wear it underneath just as you would a crinolline without hoops

Re: Hoop question?

I got my hoop off of ebay. (Thanks to Jennbaby) I tried it on at home and it was super comfortable than the crinoline slip and a heck of a lot cheaper. I even went to great lengths to pull out my old prom dress to see how it would look and it was HUGE!!!! (I had one of those southern belle dresses). When I had it on the other day I was able to sit and was able to do dance even took my mom for a spin to see how close she could get and it didn't flip up or anything.

Re: Hoop question?

It definitly does not flip up. Its not stiff or anything, you can't even tell the hoops are really there. They just bend with the skirt. I agree with Jen, when I sat down it spread the skirt out so pretty, much prettier than when I tried it on with the crinoline.

When I said the dress came with a hoopskirt, thats just the way the designer set it up. I had never heard of it before, but I'm not going to argue!
