Bridal Suite in Patchogue - need any reviews...

I tried on dresses with my mom yesterday at the Bridal Suite in Patchogue and had a great experience, but I seem to remember some other LIWers not having such a great time there. Anyone getting/got their dress there? What is your take on the place?

My SIL got her dress and the BM dresses there. THe seamstresses were horrible, I had to have 4 fittings, and when I needed things done like the hem, and the clasp on the skirt was hanging on by one therad, they wouldn't do by he time I cam back from the prior fitting.

One seamstress started talking about me in Italian, after I told her the dress was too long, and she was like it is fine (I was tripping over it), then asked me where I wanted it hemmed too.

How about where it should fall, so I don't trip on it.

My SIL was trated better, but her dress was never right, she was constantly pulling on the top, the entire wedding, since they never got it to where it should be.

We also ordered our dresses in may and they came ion 3 weeks before the December 2 wedding, even thought they said they would be in September the latest.

A good friend, which I was a BM for used them. She was satisfied, but I was not. After the fitting, my dress was pulling around the chest area leaving little blips which looked horrible. I said something about it and the pulled and yanked on the dress until it disappeared. As to my dismay the day of the wedding the same problem came up. Also the sleeve were too tight and when it was all over I had red marks all over my arms. Oh and one of the other BM's stiches came out by the zipper when sh put it on-it was too tight. They did not fit it right. And when I was there getting my dress fitted a bride was companing on how wrinkled her dress was even after it had been pressed. So, I would not recomend them.

Ask Swags about it! You'll get an ear-full. Every time I went into that store myself, there was a customer arguing with one of the salesladies or the manager. One woman was there with her daughter and was upset because they sold her daughter's prom dress right out from under her, after she put a deposit on it and everything. My advice would be to try to find your dress somewhere else. Paradise Bridal a few doors down was wonderful!

I have used them in the past for everything!! Out of town Weddings when I needed alterations - Proms, etc. BUT this time - here goes, I used them for my BM's dresses and my alterations - my dress was purchased from David's Bridal. I have to say they are soooo unorganized it is mind boggling. The BM didn't have any problems really, but me - 4 - 5 fittings. Everytime the seamstress needed to change something she would mark it but next fitting - it wasn't done! So it was a lot of trips back and forth there that were un-necessary - then they pulled my dress on soemthing (it was organza) so it made a pull, then a small hole, they repaired it but it shouldn't have been done in the first place. The alterations came out good though - ONCE it was completed! If I needed a small job done, I may use them again, but nothing else. If you find a dress in Patchogue Bridal, chances are you will find it at another one - try Paradise Bridal like 4 doors down from Bridal Suite.

I used them. Had a little trouble with the my dress coming in, but it got there as promised. Girls had no problems at all with their dresses. They were in on time and alterations were one shot each. My alterations were AMAZING. Christina was my seamstress and I tell you she was great. I gave her a nice tip bc she was that good. I had to alter my dress alot and I recommend her highly!

Mom's opinion

I think that is enough, I am sure there is and was more to this, as we are not done with her yet!

My mother and I are still talking with a lawyer regarding this.

PLEASE save yourself the aggravation that I went through!

Please do not purchase your dress from Patchogue Bridal Suite. I had nothing but problems with them. They are wonderful when they want your business and terrible once they get it. I do not know how they stay in business, but if you are smart you will not give them yours.

OMG - I totally remember this scenario - thank you SOO much ladies...I will definitely avoid the Bridal Suite in Patchogue from now on!!

I went to bridal suite. They were so rude to me and my mom. Then we went next door to Paradise Bridal they were so nice and thats where I got my dress.

Went there once. I was completely ignored, other than the dirty looks the ladies were giving me. So, I went down the block to Paradise Bridal where I was treated like princess. I bought my dress at Paradise and I have been having the best experience there so far.
