Vanderbilt Mansion Wedding Review..WITH PICS
The wedding was Sat night and it was my FFIL getting remarried. They did a big wedding b/c they wanted to celebrate with everyone.Well, what an amazing night.
The manision: The place was beautiful. We took outdoor pics with trees and a lake in the back drop....all i can say is it was breathtaking. The ceremony was in a courtyard that had a big fountain in the middle....very different but pretty.
They had about 80 people....I thought the place was bigger and they say the max is 140 but I have to say that IMO I wouldnt do too much more than 100it may be tight. I also want to add that the service there couldnt be better.... THe bridal suite wasnt what I was used too...the bathroom was kinda far and there werent many amenities...but the attendants really helped out.
The food: AMAZING! Cocktail hour....shrimp, sushi, stir fry, coldcuts and salads, etc...everything was delicious. They kept bringing stuff on trays...so if you dont do the stations...there is still PLENTY of food. Dinner was great....didnt eat too much though...choice of a mix grill or chilean sea bass...everyone was happy! The desert was fantastic...the wedding cake was carrot my favorite...they had the viennese table with lots of stuff plus a canoli station and chocolate fondu...YUM!
The flowers: In the Bloom is the name of the florist...they are located in Farmingdale....they did a wonderful job...I will post pics.
THe Band: Extreme....a Franklin Wayne Band....they were terrific...it was a mostly older crowd...but they had everyone up and dancing the whole night....and they were REALLY nice people.

Where they had the ceremony. That is the Huppah behind the fountain.

beautiful! We looked there when we were in the process of booking. We loved it but it was just a little too small. The pictures look amazing!
