I loved the African violet I received almost a year ago. It had a beautiful tuille and wired ribbon around it, and then it was put into a very pretty flower pot.

I can't copy this idea for my daughter's shower so I am anxious to receive some ideas from this thread. Please let us know if you find anything else on your own.

Okay so I may be a bit biased, but for my shower they gave away 'Cooke' books to everyone. (My new last name will be Cooke). With the invitations they asked all guests to submit a recipe and then compiled them into this book. It was adorable, very useful and everyone loved them.

I just got this weekend a wine glass with sand, shells and then on top it had gel in it to make a gel candle. I thought this was a great idea

I am gonna be cocky for my sister!

It would have to be the favor given out at my shower. They are teacups that she found in a dollar store in Oceanside. They are SO CUTE. They all have different faces and in she put a silver spoon with hershey kisses in it, as well as a tea bag that she ordered off ebay. The teabag says 'Love Is Brewing' and our names and date...and the spoon has a ribbon around it that says 'A Spoonful of kisses from the soon to be Mrs'. She wrapped the whole thing in a cellophane bag. People were begging for extras!

I loved the bath salts that my sister gave out as favors for my shower. They read 'From Dawn's shower to yours!'. I thought it was great. They came in different scents.

I went to a shower on Saturday and they gave those little starter bamboo shoots in little votive holders with glass beads. I will put it in another flowerpot with the stalks start to grow. I love plants as favors...

They gave these notepads and pen out at my shower. I use it everyday. I also love toile.

A terra cotta garlic roaster. It's about 4 ' in diameter and about 5 inches high, comes with a base and top and while I don't use it often, I thought it was so cool (and probably really expensive but both families had $$ and the groom was italian so it made sense to do it
