Reception Halls

I was wondering if anyone had any information for me about the Thatched Cottage, Michael's Bridal Mansion in Sayville and the Riverside Restaurant in Oakdale. I loved the Thatched Cottage and it's my first choice but the other are a couple of inexpensive alternatives. They both look nice but how's the food, service, etc?

Thanks

My girlfriends house on LI was robbed the night of her wedding they think because the bands of marriage was announced at the church the week before. It follows the same pattern as obituaries--I know this is sad but it is something to think about--Your full name and wedding date can zero you in on trouble.

Reception Halls

Hi Anne. the Thatched Cottage is beautiful. I went to a wedding there about 5 years ago and it was great. The room is huge. I went to a function at Michaels and didnt really like it. The food I thought was OK. If I remember correctly is the Riverside restaurant in Oakdale - isnt that owned by Lessings?? If so Lessings also does the catering at Timber Point Country Club (that is where my reception is) They are awesome. You should check out Timber Point. It is in Great River along the Connetquout River and The Great South Bay. The place is beautiful and believe it or not the price is reasonable (under $100 for a Saturday night in October). Good Luck and let me know you want more info!!
